From Fraser Island, we head further up on the coast and visit Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg. Also, we decide take a long drive to Centra Highlands of Queensland where we check out huge dams, giant paintings and the famous gemfields. Fancy to do some fossicking? Maryborough was going to be the capital of Queensland but then they changed their mind and made it Brisbane, after Sir Thomas Brisbane, The Governor.
Maryborough was named after Queen Mary and was the biggest shipping and trading port in Queensland.
Jacaranda trees are from South America.
I took my GF to Rubyvale and paid 5 AUD for a bucket and she found a 500 AUD Star Sapphire. Watching your videos brings back the memories.
