  • NBA player Ben Simmons has copped a big loss on his multi-million-dollar mansion in California.
Mr Simmons bought the Hidden Hills house for $26.8 million in 2021 and listed it a year later for $34.8 million.
However, there was zero interest and he eventually sold the house for $18.3 million, which is a loss of more than $8 million.
‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield says no one wants to live in Los Angeles amid an increase in crime.
“Everybody’s fleeing, and no one wants to live here anymore,” she told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

Bingo!!!! That’s why they let NYC crime become 3rd world. People don’t think about anything anymore. Half the people making these policies are real estate “moguls”. Michael Bloomberg has over $100 billion dollars. Why else would have wanted to be mayor of NYC? Not because he loves the place. Same with California and Chicago. The people that support the defunding of the police. Or at least the people that paid for the campaigns. Funded the “protests” through various “charities”. We’re billionaires and hundred millionaires that have personal security. They push for soft on crime policies to drop property values. Then they buy it back and “gentrify” it.

In the same 8 years, a comparable warm-weather beach city with a similar diverse population - Miami/Dade County FL - had a 60% decline in violent crime. What's the difference? For every time someone sells their home or closes their business, to leave California, Gov Screwsum put another feather in his agenda cap as this is his ultimate goal and it's all going as planned.

I’m still trying to digest how society got to a point where someone skilled at dribbling and shooting a ball through a metal hoop mounted eight foot above the ground gets paid hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of their careers.
Even more amazing is that most of them manage to lose all of it and end up bankrupt and broke.

Hidden Hills is a "private" community. There are no homeless people. There is no crime. It's so private that you can't see it on Google Street View -- The "real" story title should be, "NBA player 'overpaid' for home in exclusive LA suburb during the pandemic, and sold it for a loss." End of story. . . In addition, the Murdoch family, founders of Sky News, own multiple million dollar properties in California -- I haven't seen any news stories about them "fleeing" California.

Austin is turning into a liberal haven of California values. Homeless people everywhere, mental disorders, open air drug usage....the once eclectic and quirky city with incredible new music is turning into a dump.
Don't move to Texas thinking you can make it just like the awful state you ran away from!
