- Here is my 73 Mustang Mach1 100% complete I hope that you enjoy this video, this car has been restored back to the original interior and color, the engine is the same original 351C but with more detail than the regular mustang engine, this is a fun car to drive.

In 1984 I was 16 my first car 72 Mach 1 ..won Oakland Roadster show in 1987 and it's still in my garage...

That is one beautiful looking car! Love the detail work on the motor! And the color! These big-fastback mustangs are very sleek. I know the 71- 73's they were not the most popular. That said, if built right, they were very fast! The stock Boss 351 was doing mid-13 sec quarter-mile times during their heyday out-performing many of their early predecessors, including the 67- 70 Shelby's (which I do love too) I have a 71 and used to have a 72 :)

As I look at this car I think the owner don't know what he has . First the only thing that looks like a 73 is the front bumper and the grill other than that it could be either a 71 or 72 model. for one on a 73 mach the mach 1 letters was not on the front finders they were on the rear Q panel in front of the rear wheels. plus the complete side stripes is not for a 73 model . the stripes shown is for a 71 /72 model. The 73 stripe is a wide stripe and place mid way down on the side . the front finder would have a Crome mustang badge. also on the trunk deck the mach 1 litters and stripe is for a 71/72 model the 73 model trunk deck stripe is completely different. the gas cap is not for the mach The steering wheel in not for a mach 1 and those seat covers shown is for the regular fast back mustang that someone heated the mach 1 name on them. The hood has letters saying 351 Ram air but looking at the motor it shows no components for the ram air system so that's a fake. So what do you have A 71,72,or 73 mustang that's been thrown together.when it comes down to it only the vin# will tell

Theres 1 for sale in finland atm its 9000 euros so about 13-15,000 us dollars and its in original state paint,interior,engine all is original and its like brand new because old man owns it ;( just wish i could find a job so i could buy it before some youngster buys it and fucks it up with stupid stereos etc.....
I know man, it hurts when you see one of this classics with those big wheels and the crazy surround sound! This cars are not meant for that! I hope you can get that car.

The paint is the original Metallic Medium Copper code 5M , this paint looks so different depending the weather!! at full sunshine looks the best!! The seats are original as well with the Mach1 logo engrave!! Thanks

A mi este es uno de los modelos que mas me gusta y que mas aprecio por sus lineas y por la figura especialmente del fastback.

Where did you get the rear sun shade? Looks nice and how did you install it, did you have to drill the body? I havent seen a lot of aftermarket sun shades for these years and some require you drill the body and others dont.
I got the louvers on ebay, the installation of this louvers don't required any drilling to the body at all. This louvers are install with this type of 3M double side tape and easy to install. they can be remove any time without leaving any trace. I don't remember the price because it was few years back but I know that it was under $300 bucks for the whole kit and you can installed yourself.

damn it, that is nice! I have one the same color too. But it needs work, my dad bought back in 72'. I feel like it's my duty to restore it back to 100%. How much was did the restoration cost? give or take. Thank yoU!
I hope that you can take time to restore that baby! this cars are very nice and people enjoy to see them when you are on a car show. So many people restore the 60's models and those are cool but there is so many of them when you go to the car shows. Its very hard for me to tell you how much money you spend or it takes because a friend of mine help me with all the car restoration! it took me almost 2 years to complete it. when you restore your car just make sure what you want it can be cheap or it could be very expensive depending on what you want?
Sergio Sanchez I will definitely take my time, it's going to be hard since I'm so impatient haha. But I plan on doing a 60-70% restore. Not a completely over haul unless its really needed. The interior still looks amazing, it just needs new seats because the driver side is starting to crack where the stitching meet. Already, rebuilt the 351C and as well as the tranny (the easy part). now im on the next/ most expensive part ( buying a completely suspension an upgrading to disc brakes :(. Anyway you're exactly right... Its not often you see a 1971-73 mustang rolling the streets. I'm so excited about the project, knowing I'll be driving something my mother and father used to love back in the 70's.

Best year? 1971 was the last. After that horsepower and torque took a nosedive with lower compression for unleaded gas.

+Brian Rose Hi Brian, the car has 3' pipes, x-pipe, long tube headers, and flowmasters. in person it sounds incredible and not an ugly loud but a very nice and mean at the same time.

Hi, thank you for the comment! This is a real nice car. Yes I did the restoration all they way on this car from the frame up. A friend of mine did must of the work or almost all the work. It's very hard to tell you how much you spend because this restoration took almost 2 years and we did little bit out of time but you can spend some $$$$$ doing this. Something that I can tell you is that you will never regret any dollar spend once you are behind the wheel.

Hi, I went with the 17" wheels and I have different sizes for the front and the rear. I have 245/45/17 on the front and I have 275/40/17 on the rear. This size looks amazing and you don't have to do any modifications or worried about scrubbing at all.

Thanks for the comment about my car. I don't know how much is worth because I didn't buy the car as is and took couple years to build it. Si I guess is worth different money to different people. It has not cross my mind to sell it so I don't have a price on mind. I have install a new steering wheel since the video, I have the 3 spoke rim bow original from the 71-73 model (looks a lot better). Thanks
Que tipo de mufflers tiene?
Tiene Flow Masters y se escucha super padre. Tiene un sonido muy agresivo cuando esta prendido y lo aceleras. Pero cuando lo manejas no es Ruidoso adrentro del carro cuando vas en la carretera.

Hola que tal, fijate que es el motor original y sigue teniendo casi el mismo caballage del motor 351, lo unico modificado es el arbol de levas es un poco mas pequeno que el original que le da un major sonido al motor. la diferencia mas grande que veo es la transmission le quitre la original y cambie por una C6 y quedo con mucha potencia. No hay lugar que te pudiear hacer major trabajo en Mexico y por menos dinero?
