Get Raccoons Out

  • Raccoons cause damage to roofs and other structures. Once inside, the warm, dry, secluded shelter provides protection from other animals and humans, making it a safe place to live. Through the entry hole(s) in the roof, rain and snow will enter. Inside of the attic, insulation and electrical wiring can be compromised. The accumulation of feces in and around the home can present serious human health consequences.
AAA Gates' Wildlife Control will arrive at your home, conduct a thorough inspection and provide you with a free estimate outlining the work necessary to solve the wildlife intrusion. During the birthing season, the first step is to enter the attic and locate the raccoon family. During the search a watchful eye must be kept on the mother raccoon as her instinctive nature is to guard her young, sometimes prompting her to attack when you least expect it. Only after the mother raccoon has been chased out of the attic or kept at bay can her babies be collected. In cases when the adult or mobile juveniles cannot be chased outside, installation of our tested and proven Gates one-way-door allows them to exit through the door but not to get back in.
The next step is to repair the damaged shingles and secure a heavy guage galvanized screen over the entry hole. Animal proofing of roof vents, plumbing roof mats / pipes, chimneys etc. (see our section on Keep Them Out) is also essential to keep all wildlife out for a long time to come. All repair work is backed by our Gates one year guarantee, supported by our over 38 years in business.
The final step in our humane approach is to reunite the mother raccoon with her young. To this extent the babies are placed in our specifically designed Gates heated release box, which maintains their core body temperature. The maternal mother raccoon will return to retrieve her young, one by one, and to take them to a known, pre-established secondary den site.
Call Gates Wildlife Control today to humanely solve your wildlife problem and to wildlife proof your home. 1.877.750.9453

@gateswildlife I am 61 yrs old and in the 1970s in California I cleaned chimneys with my Father ( he created initially from home but ultimately a brick n mortar business with my Mother, myself and brothers) our customers priority was home safety but also to make sure of animals safety by closing entryways, I really relate and appreciate watching your program especially because My Father was a wildlife advocate and we rescued birds, bats, squirrels just about every animal you can think of that can fly or climb and was looking for a warm safe place to rest or nest !! I admire your family working relationship. Thank you so much for sharing your interesting and outstanding work day!!

Humanely solve the problem. 👍 Imagine chasing a mother away, unaware that she's leaving babies behind to starve? Not only is this cruel to the babies, but if you've never had a rat or squirrel die in your attic or walls you will sorely regret your carelessness when the smell hits you. It's awful. 🤪

Cats hang out with skunks as well. Maybe you need to move the shelter where there’s better visibility for the cat and away from the wind.

People need to be proactive BEFORE wildlife makes a home in their attic. Not all mommas have a "backup" den. This is a terrible situation for a mom with babies!!
