The stutter is a play on the moment in GYPSY when Mamma Rose stutters during ROSE'S TURN. I do have a recording of the entire performance but it is not available to the public. I will post some more clips in the near future.
It has been done by all gals playing Judy Denmark (it's actualy written into the script) as the 'stutter bit' something Roz Russell does in the film of "Gypsy."
lol - wasn't this before she played that role though? I thought that was something she added to it, me not having seen the other versions of that song being performed.
