For many businesses, working their way toward being verified on social media is a monumental step in the life of their business.
While you can always increase your advertising budget to generate more leads, Instagram verification is one of the elusive social media status symbols you can’t buy, which as a result makes it highly coveted and immensely valuable.
A study revealed that 73.4% of Instagram accounts that had more than one million followers had a verified badge. Out of the next group down (100,000 to one million followers), 22.4% were verified accounts. When studying accounts with between 1,000 and 5,000 followers, only 0.87% were verified.
Put simply, being verified on Instagram can have a significant effect on your brand’s image in the public eye.

That's great but that "notable" will make most verification be denied. We've been waiting for a verification for a while, at this point, we're expecting a denial unless we missed it. Had no idea YT had a check mark
the thing is they dont even tell you if you were denied, they just ghost you.

How a royal title can be verified for receiving blue attack on Instagram royal title cannot be seen on national ID or birth certificate or driver license because it is as appointment however there is a proof of letters of appointment as Royal for Royal houses... There is no link to add these documents

Got it. Thanks for advising. In terms of notability, Instagram reviews accounts that are featured in multiple news sources, but not paid or promotional content. You don’t have to have a certain number of followers to get verified. Instagram will determine verified accounts based on being authentic, unique, complete and notable.

I got mine today but I had to change my business name to the name on my ID. How can other accounts get their verification if the business name is not the exact name on their ID or profile picture?
Hi there. Great question. If an account has a business name that doesn't match their ID or profile picture, they will want to connect with Instagram (shopify.link/gmq2) directly. They will be able to share more information with you on how to proceed.

If you have a verified badge on your personal Instagram account, does it stay with your profile if you switch to a business account?
Hi, Allison. On Instagram's Help Center page (bit.ly/3IrbUzd) they provide reasons why your badge may be taken away. However, I recommend contacting Meta Support (bit.ly/3S7yH5P) regarding switching profiles/accounts.
