ASMR [whisper ramble]

Just a ramble about stuff. No real plan, I say 'um' a lot. -
In whispers, I talk about my first experience of ASMR. I explain my dummy head, microphones, what binaural recording is and my aims as an ASMR artist. At the end I show and tell (play) a couple of items.

I completely agree with Adam J - going into a subject in depth seriously enhances my asmr...hence my first experience being my auntie describing a hotel she went visited, when I was around 6/7. From then on I was hooked! Ha. This video gave me fanrastic tingles (the ones that make me hold my breath!). Thanks so much - more whisper descriptions please! Keep up the good work ☆

Thank you. Since making this video I have decided to prepare my 'rambles' better and am working on the next few pieces. It is becoming like a dissertation or school project at the moment. Lots of research and writing. Soon I will begin recording a new video with some deep discussion on sleep and another on anxiety. I appreciate your kind feedback. Your first ASMR experience sounds bang on. I get ASMR from these sort of encounters too.

If you look closely, you will see the picture is of Che Guevara - 'Ernesto "Che" Guevara (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtʃe ɣeˈβaɾa];[7] June 14,[1] 1928 - October 9, 1967), commonly known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist. A major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia in popular culture.' (wikipedia) - Che is accompanied by the words 'Hairdresser to the People'. This is a poster I made for my hairdressing business a few years ago. I use the image of Che as it is an iconic symbol of revolution and socialism. It is a tongue in cheek 'poke' at the 'Hairdresser to the Stars' elitist attitude of some rival salons. There are no pictures of dictators. Murder is a more subjective claim. I am pretty sure Che did kill during 'war' but I am unaware of his convictions for murder. Anyway, I am using the iconography to press home a different point entirely. I have a variety of things on the wall, both as makeshift sound treatment and also decoration. I am pleased you asked the question. I hope I answered it clearly for you, despite being unable to reply directly to your original comment.

Ah, nothing like sitting down and listening to a relaxing video. But anyway since you asked I think my first ASMR experience came from a dental check up when I was maybe 8 years old. When the dentist picked at my teeth the assistant whispered into my ear to help calm me down.

Will do. I worked professionally as a hairdresser for ten years so I have a little experience with this, which is why I have not approached these kind of videos yet. It will be done. :) x
