Excellent explanations of the Mauritian street food. Just one minor correction if you don’t mind. The national dish of Mauritius happens to be Du riz blanc bouillon brede chouchou et rougaille. But overall, super video. Keep rocking!!!

Hi brother, I need some info! Can you people provide me the details about the guy who helped you in this entire food tour. Will be waiting for the details. Thanks in advance.
Hello from France. I still can't understand when you all just mean chili when you say spicy. But Spice is not only chili. In every we can find spices because '' pepper, cinnamon, garlic or ginger and so...please say''hot'' for chillies Thanks 😊
Nice video, but didn’t really find Mauritus that special. I guess I’ve travelled the world too much, the mix of cultures I’ve seen first hand, and much of the food takes outside influence. The beaches are fine, personal Caribbean, Mexico and south East Asia are my favourite beaches world wide. The people are nice enough, but the country has a lot of things it needs to resolve.
As a mauritian I don't really follow any mauritian topics etc but I liked your approach to things. Hope you tried "Alouda " it's a drink with milk & condensed milk and some vanilla
Thank you very much for your nice feedback. I am glad you enjoyed my video. 🤩 I will be sure to try it next time I see it. Thanks very much for the letting me know. 🇲🇺
"Dim sum " is the Cantonese name , but the Hakka who live in Guangdong too called in ' Tiam sim ". The one we eat in Mauritius is the one introduced by the Hakka which is more rustic than the Cantonese one
There is so many things to try in Mauritius and it's a very basic stuff that was shown. ( a bit disappointing ) Majority of Mauritians are vegetarian??? come on.. You should try a walk down Deforges street at night.
I agree on that note too... I don't know from where this tour guide learnt that most of the Mauritian street foods are vegetarian. He should have done his research properly I guess. You got, du pain tikkah, du pain catless, pain kebab, haleem and many more. You should definitely take a walk at la rue desforges my dear
Ashvin should have done a better job. 1. He often talks about "Pain Tikka", there is an iconic place in Portlouis at Renaissance 2. Several places in China Town, where you have variations of Pork dishes 3. Local Versions of Shawarma, where besides Chicken, you might also get one made from Octopus. - Adali in Portlouis 4. Haleem, beef or Mutton stew like dish 5. Even the Fried Noodles, you have proper non veg version in China Town 6. BBQ items sold at night on the Iconic "Deforges Street" known for street food - so many items to try there 7. Non veg versions of the Dhallpuri 8. Variations of the fried snacks 9. Try a Mauritian twist on indian food at Banana leaf ( Carry Madras ) - not street food but cozy little place selling good food
dude if you want true maurituis food it not in hotel you get it snack on street ya but traditional food like fish curry bouyon crason poison saler frier gros zoin blanc ou poison frire it in a mauritian home
