Watching this movie mainly broke my heart, because it was the end of the Maze Runner series, but mostly because it was when Newtmas ended. Although Newt died, his legacy will live on with Tommy.

I will never come over it.., I will never forgive the producers... This really hits me.., I wasn’t just crying while watching this movie. I was even thinking about it after months, ok? As if it wasn’t hard enough to let him die, they had to show us Thomas holding the cure at the end. Remember us that Newt would have survived! One single thing, who’s good as one compensation is the death of Theresia. Because it’s also her fault or it is her fault. They were safe, ok? Minho, Newt and Thomas were safe in the dessert and wanted to go to the save Harbour. When Theresia just want to be with Wicked, she had to call them at another place to be picked up, instead of pulling the others in and betray them. If she had done it, Minho wouldn’t have been kidnapped, the others would not have gone back, Newt wouldn’t have been infected and would be still alive. They would be safe!
Seriously, Newt and Thomas have such a queer-coded relationship beyond what was probably originally intended. I truly believe that Thomas loved Newt with all his heart, and that out of everyone, Newt was always his top priority. Thomas loved him, and it’s so clear with the way they portray them on-screen. May they one day reunite in the far future…
