Great video. Thanks for your insights on palantir 👍. Ive only just started my investing journey (currently only in global all cap index fund) but thinking of getting a few individual shares here and there to Hodl for the long term.
Look at the Tesla chart going back 5+ years. It was $19.65 five years ago, then it started to rise from October 2019 to February 2020 and reached 60, corrected a bit to the high 20s, then started to run up again and reached over $275 in January 2021 with some minor dips along the way. It later fell again to below $200, bounced around and slowly climbed again to rocket to over $400 in November 2021. It has since experienced a great fall to about $113 in December 2022 with a lot of fits and starts along the way, then gone on to rise and fall to reach an average range from the high 100s to the mid 200s, where it's at now.
Palantir is young and getting to about where Tesla was five years ago now. I feel that it will see significant gains in the long run, i.e. over the coming _years_, the way Tesla has, even if it never achieves those highs (though it may well do that too), and people are fretting what will amount to tiny movements in the stock price when viewed macroscopically. Load up, I say. This company has a good future and is clearly on the right trajectory.

I agree Hayley that the current price will be seen as peanuts when looking back at in the future. I can easily see Palantir becoming a $100+ stock in the years ahead. I am investing for a 10-20 year timeframe. Once I have finished building up my position in SoFi, I will be looking to build up 1,000 shares in Palantir at the current price.

I already took profit. I had 10k shares at 10 average sold everything at 130k profit. Remember, y'all, no one goes broke taking profit. I will however buy back in at 18. Good luck to everyone PLTR is the real deal.

I will add more once it dips to low 20s. I sold 50% of shares near 25 cause of the valuations. With Nvidia earnings on the 21st it could make it go higher given the AI hype.
I only started investing in October, I bought Palantir for 18 and sold at 24.6 used the money to buy something else on their earnings. Sold that and on seeing palantir hold up at 24/5 fomo'd back in at 25. Still working out how it all works, but I'm currently decently green. Then of course they start talking about the market recently being at all time highs and likely to drop. Never won until you've cashed out. Hopefully my circumstances will provide a situation where I can hold long term 🙏
It’s all a learning curve… especially when it comes to emotions & mindset in the market! Yep, it’s all paper gains and losses till you withdraw and sometimes it makes sense to reallocate profit into another opportunity with upside! We will succeed long time 💪🏻💪🏻

My timeframe for PLTR is 5-10 years.
Even buy at 23 or 24, we can sell covered calls and the premiums will reduce the average cost of the stock.
How do you do that ?
I only bought 25 shares today because im hoping for a dip, in which case I'd buy more. I'm very confident though becuase they've beat earnings every quarter. Also looking at $BMR, a new stock on streaming video compression for netflix, amazon, hulu etc.

Remember, in industries where China has a significant presence, like Tesla's electric vehicles, profit margins are likely to shrink, despite the FSD nearing completion. There isn't much room to maneuver, especially given China's struggling economy and heavy reliance on EV exports. Always exercise caution when dealing with China. Just because it's a trend in China doesn't mean it's one we should follow. A friendly reminder from someone in Taiwan.

Palantir will take a dive with Nvidia on 22nd along with many others 😅 sell before then if you are on short term profits.
I shorted almost 13,250 shares @ $25.14 recently. I got crushed once by shorting this name but it’s time for redemption. At $53B market cap and purely going up on helium…..this won’t end well and correction starts on Feb 22 after NVDA tanks this sector.
