“Of course my child has my DNA so I hold out little hopes of sleeping.” That actually made me laugh harder than I probably should have because relateable.
Tip about nipple cream: It can be a lifesaver, but it will also trap moisture and contribute to chapping. After a feeding, let your nipples get a bit of air to dry before applying the cream.
My family has a book called “love you forever” And every time someone becomes a first time parent we buy them there own copy and write a message in the cover. My mom still has hers from around 1990, and my mom gave me mine in 2018. Hopefully someday I can continue the tradition.
Am so Pleased you got your gift from me I love the fact amazon also sent it gift wraped to also your more then welcome. I was the one how sent you the Breast Milk Storage Bags. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and New year xx
The lanolin niple cream is very multi-purpose, you can use it on baby, as lip balm, as well as on your sore niples. I strongly recommend that you get involved with your local breastfeeding support group before bub is born, it is something that I regret not doing.
What wonderful gifts! I love the Amazon bags and make great gift bags! I’ve got a few and just keep reusing them!! All the books are great! I like that your child will be learning about all the different ways babies come into families! My sis and I are both adopted and are very fortunate to have been placed with such a loving family!
About milk leaking… Usually the mature milk does not come in for the first few days while you are in the hospital. Colostrum is what the newborn takes in for a few days, and it is a thicker honey-like milk, which doesn’t usually soak up breast pads, and is tough to extract with electric pumps. Just thought you would like to know, so that you won’t be disappointed if you experience no leaking while you are in the hospital. It’s normal. The Haakaa is brilliant, i had a similar one of a different brand and it helped me increase my supply, and was as effective as the electric pumps. A splendid choice. I am still nursing my toddler, partly thanks to the Haakaa.
With the haakaa this are amazing but be mindful if you turn out to be an overproducer because of the suction it can actually increase your supply as it draws more milk out then just catching let down.
loved the ubbi weighted wipes dispenser, the tommee tippee bottle prep machine, the glow dreaming sound machine. ergopouch sleeping bags, tommee tippee black out shade. use all still except the bottle machine as we are now 20 months old and weaned
I hope everything is good, that you and baby are safe and healthy. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year! I noticed you haven’t uploaded this week so I just wanted to say, we’re thinking of you and take the time you need. Look forward to hearing from you! ❤❤❤❤
Yes the hakaa is amazing! I had one with my first baby and I'm getting a new one for my next one. They also have a new "ladybug" I'm keen to try out this time as well!
Have breastfed 4 kids for many many years combined. Nipple cream: used maybe 1 g of cream the entire time. You need so little. Like you need the size of a fingernail clipping haha at a time, and only WHEN you need it. By the way: I have 1 kid who was allergic to lanolin so didn’t use with her either!
If you haven’t tried a motherease wizard uni cloth nappy do it. They are amazing, magical nappies that hold so much pee it’s ridiculous. I love them. Used them for both mine after trying a tonne of different brands and mine are both heavy wetters.
Totsbots easyfits were my absolute favorites for my daughter and Im here in the US!!!! The newer ones are fab, very absorbent and way better than the V3/V4
This is so cool! I just found your channel and I’m expecting a month after you. Do you have the link for the baby wooden rattle set or a link to your registry?
7:30 I’m curious to know why they specifically recommend cups that can spill. Is it because of the succion and ease of use or is it because it’s good for kids to see that cups can spill?
Yay! This was lovely to watch, such nice things! I chose the wooden toys because I also loooove wood toys. I don't have any children but I did teacher training and was a nursery teacher for a while and everywhere I went I was just bigging up wooden things 😆 Nothing nicer than a lovely set of plain wooden blocks in different shapes and sizes - they can be anything!
Hi I just wanted to suggest the book The Family Book by Todd Parr. He also has a great book called It’s Ok to be Different. I am an infant teacher and love reading these books with my students.
Hi Briony, I was just wondering if you would do a video on the things you are nervous about/new to you? I think because you have had so many young fosterlings it is a very interesting situation! You have a lot of knowledge already 😊
If you plan to breastfeed I wouldn't introduce pacifiers. You will end up with nipple confusion. This is a very common issue and where mothers end up thinking they can't breastfeed.
@@nyonpyon8099 Do you have any source that it doesn't cause sid? It only makes sense that is actually a higher risk because of a foreign object in the mouth obstructing breathing. Although I don't think pacifiers are a choke hazard but all the info I have read leads to actually mention that during the first weeks when breastfeeding is being established introduction of a bottle will confuse baby. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying breastfeeding is the only way and nor pacifiers are the devil. But she needs to be aware in case she wants to breastfeed as it is a very common thing on the early weeks.

So glad you got the book! (J.C.) So happy for you. ❤
Wool interlock breast pads were the only reusable ones I did not leak through. I highly recommend the HumBird brand.

Omg, I used to watch so many of your videos reviewing menstrual products (reason why I started using menstrual cups)! Glad to see you're doing well

I love all of the bits you got just make sure of you plan to breastfeed you have it established before using dummy’s to avoid nipped confusion ❤
Congratulations

I googled it and it seems to be that the nonspill require kids to suck rather than sip with dentists say can hurt facial and dental development
@@juliemorrow174 Ahhh makes sense. Thanks!
Gee lm wondering how my 6 kids survived now 33-19yrs old absolute nonsense.

Todd Parr is amazing. I ordered my little brother two new Todd Parr books for Christmas 💜

Have you closed the registry now ?
In a video you did when you were younger you said you wanted a home birth, what changed your mine if you dont mind sharing?❤
Do you still have the baby registry? I would like to send you something 😊💙

That's absolutely BS!!!
Yeah not true. Soothers decrease the risk of sids too.
@@brilliantbutblue I have actually got this advice from actual breastfeeding consultant. Do you have any source that it isn't true?
