Wybourne Level Crossing

- Two Class 66s both in Freightliner livery head an oil train destined for the factory on the Isle of Grain. This crossing is on a very short lane on the remote Hoo Peninsula, and is one of few AOCLs left. It's not been looked after well, as the crossing is very dirty and a "Keep Crossing Clear" sign has been turned round. However the lights and alarms seem to be functioning well. This was the second train I waited for, as the first was scheduled but didn't exist. Trains would be easier to film if Boris Island and the High Speed Line was built through here. Although the crossing would probably be closed. Damn you Boris.

I have never seen a crossing with no barriers. Great video.
Great catch! Thanks for stopping by at Wateringbury after this. It was a shame you didn't catch a train at Wateringbury but it was good seeing you.
Good to see mate
Great Video
I love the way the sirens roll loud but clear rhytm to the sound they make. It is like they are matched together to make a designated sound in a melody form! 🤩
Nice video! 👍👍 Judging by the appearance of the signage and the wigwags that were there previously (before the LEDs), this crossing looks to have been installed circa 1998 (about the same time as Stoke).
great video Nathan
Great to see a new video from you! The Grain Branch Line has become really busy since the aviation fuel trains have been operating. There are a couple of videos from 9 years ago of this crossing with halogens. Search for Weybourne level crossing if you want to see them. (Wybourne spelt wrong)
Nice video
