What a beautiful video. It reminds me of another video I've watched about the demolition of the Polaroid plant . I especially liked the drone footage of this video that showed how massive this plant once was. A special thank you to the person who took the time to film this memory and all the lives who worked here.
It is so sad to watch this icon of Hopedale come down. It meant so much to Hopedale and all the surrounding towns as well. The Draper factory gave birth to all of them. Hopedale Pond fed the water power to the factory which provided jobs for Hopedale and the surrounding towns. I hope that some form of a memorial has been planed to represent this now lost history?
This is the stuff I am subscribed for. Great shots, a true tradgedy to lose more of these gorgeous, unique buildings. Are they keeping the smokestack up?
I just hope that the debris from this factory are properly dealt with, lawfully disposed of. In the past there have been valid questions. Many health problems have been likely associated with the pollution of this property. My father and my dead husbands family have a lifetime connection to this factory. Just asking reasonable questions now.
