I have a question. My brother stays connected to me in order to make sure he’s in my dad’s will, but he’s abusive. For absolutely no reason, he assumes if I disconnect from him, I’ll steal my dad’s assets once he dies and run off. Because of this, he has made me feel obligated to keep in contact with him. Am I obligated to communicate with him? He shouldn’t be speaking about my dad’s will. My dad’s in the hospital, but he isn’t dead. I think he’s hoping my dad passes so he can get his hands on my dad’s money. He has also grown hostile. Which is odd considering I’m taking care of all of his medical bills and decisions. My brother wanted to sign a DNR order (do not resuscitate), and he said “what kind of quality of life is that?” What do I do? I don’t wanna talk to him anymore. What if I stop and he comes after me. I’ve been so nice to him. But, I’ve had it. I wanna walk away silently and just take my life back. No response. Nothing. No anger. Does that mean I don’t forgive him for acting in such a manner? is that betrayal? I will not have a constructive conversation with him as he stonewalls me every time. I’ve tried. So, please no one suggest that. This is a simple yes or no question.
