Leo Varadkar and Paul Murphy clash in the Dail over ‘scandalous’ comments

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy had a tense exchange in the Dail after Murphy called for a questions and answers session with junior minister Niall Collins.
Leo Varadkar asked Mr Murphy why he hadn’t come before the chamber after he “detained two women against their will in Jobstown several years ago”.
Mr Murphy shouted across the chamber that he had been found not guilty, describing the Taoiseach’s comments as “scandalous” and “another abuse of privilege”.

It must be very painful for Varadkar to have to SIT for so much of the time it must be a great relief for it to get the chance to get off its ass and ease the pain by answering questions albeit lying like a trooper.
