yeah. it seemed like the Olympic teams of the '80's eventually produced World Champs. Whitaker, Holyfeild, Breeland, etc. in fact, Welterweights are what I remember most from the '80's. Tyson did practically define the decade, along w/ other great HW's like Holyfield, Bowe, Holmes(until Spinks moved up), & Lewis, who admittedly, got KO'd by journeymen. but IRON MIKE had more than just power. he could move for a relatively big man. his head goes right, his head goes left, he nails a guy w/ a combination. gets out of range, and if the other guy's still standing, maybe he won't for long. and despite going off the rails later on, y' can't take the moments away from his career when he unified the HW Titles finally, and became the youngest Champ ever, which stands today.

My favorite boxer of all time is Mike Tyson. He had an incredible blend of speed, grace, and power. He was a smart fighter too, and knew how and exactly when to drop the hammer.
Prime age for boxer is considered between 28-35. Exception for Mike,he was already 37-0 record at his 23. Which I would say his 23 was already the start of his prime. It's weird when a fan call it " no one beat him during his prime" while in fact he was defeated during his prime. The sad truth is 1964-1967 is the Muhammad Ali few of us got to see. Many experts and boxing historians said that in that era of Ali, he was truly the greatest boxer that ever lived. He jad speed that was unmatched and you could not hit him. His stamina and energy was other worldly and he could pick his opponent apart at will.
@@jerardnorgren3411Tyson would not touch Ali. Foreman was a more devastating puncher than Tyson and Ali outboxed, then 'knocked' him out. Foreman more than likely over exerted himself and eventually lost to a combination of Ali's punches and heat exhaustion in Zaire in 1974.

Very linear and easy to follow from the late 1800s through to the mid-70s when Leon Spinks defeated Muhammad Ali, and then Ali beat Spinks in the return match. Then the division mutated into something barely recognizable, and by the 2000s, it became completely unrecognizable to where I had to remind myself who half of these "champions" were.
Mas o mma ainda paga muito mal pros seus campeões e outra o mma também é bagunçado tanto que temos dezenas de organizações com seus respectivos campeões só de memória posso listar aqui ufc belator, one FC, rizin pfl e fora outros que não me lembro
Boxing is in a new golden age so I don't know what you're talking about.
It's because Pro boxing finally now has its doors open to the world pool of fighters.
Americans are not as dominant as they're made out to be, its only because they weren't really
competing against Eastern big men yet. The east started to compete in pro boxing
around the late 90s to mid 2000s.
Game Changer.
Usyk is so good he just scared a 6'9" Fury away from a mega fight.
Bro it’s simply just 4 different belts for each weight class. One belt would absolutely kill boxing. No champion would take any risks because there’s no other belts to go after.
@@SovietBearBoxing Eastern Europe boxers absolutely suck except the clit brothers and usyk. But why doesn’t usyk go and fight wilder if Tyson doesn’t want to fight?
Wow. As being 44 this brings back sitting in front of our t.v. watching. The clip of Tyson going forward was an amazing time . I loved all the big fights.
Times were better back then.
Just goes to show how damn hard it is to hold on to these titles. Always someone hungrier and tougher coming up behind you.
Rocky Marciano never lost the title. He retired undefeated.

Amazing
90's heavyweight boxing was the most exciting Era. Miss those days. Non stop championship fights!
Tua, Mercer, Morrison some real brawlers I that era
yeah. it seemed like the Olympic teams of the '80's eventually produced World Champs.
It's weird. 90s everything was better NBA etc. Most probably because the source of entertainment nowadays is so vast, nothing really can't stand out.
Everyone says the 20's and 80's were the two greatest eras in heavyweight history.
90's was a shit era, just had great promotion.
When you break it down the skill level was lower than today, PED usage was out of control, match fixing was rife
There were so many problems, but nostalgia makes you forget

Prime age for boxer is considered between 28-35.
Exception for Mike,he was already 37-0 record at his 23.

When he win all his fight?
