    First the laser printer and now more improvements on the PnP. Your home factory is coming right along.

    When I see people going all in about dissing a brand online I usually suspect something is up and actually support the brand instead.
    I have bought their CHM-T48VB and have been more than pleased.
    My message to those who complain: design and make your own and put it up for sale - and I shall buy it.

      Awesome @Griffin Paquette - Just remember, they take a lot of tuning... I got up and running very quickly, as do most folks, but the took months to really dial it in for repeatable accurate results. If only Charmhigh would send me a new PnP as a thankyou ;)

    Great to see it working..........and I love the idea of PnP for my own Pcb production, even if it's just for the jelly bean parts which I hate doing by hand as I don't by the expensive parts in reels......jelly bean is where I lose most of my time. Maybe one day!

  • @AKsevenFOUR

    Is it worth moving to a larger panel size or is the oven a limiting factor?

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 лет назад +1

      I think this is about as big as I can get and still do reliable stencilling to be honest. Reflow is also a problem due to even-ness, but I'm sure my pasting would mess me up more. I've thought about adding another column of 5 TPs.. but I'm over the production hump, so doesn't make sense to change now I don't think.

  • @tablatronix

    wow, this is fairly impressive for the cost of this unit, granted yes you pay for it in time spent fiddling, but still. it seems as if they could easily upgrade the head to 4 nozzles.

    Is the CHMT36VA in every case equipped with the closed loop Controller ?
    The web site say nothing specific about the versions and do you have modified the noisy vacuum pump ?

    I have RUclips Vanced and it defaults to 1.25x speed....and it's still slow. Build a Delta, model it off of the Omron Adept.

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 лет назад

      What? Slow? It's doing 1800-2200 CPH with vision, placing 0402 - on a AUD $5k PnP. You should do more research on PnP costs and speed/capabilities :-)

    • @jojoposter
      @jojoposter 5 лет назад

      Hahaha.
      Yeah i thought about a delta pnp but the size required for this build volume would be huge. And the precision requirement for pick and placeing 0402 components would be hard to satisfy.
      This machine is not limited by xy travel (ok maybe a bit) but it gets limited by the feeding and placing mechanism as well. So a delta (while moving faster) would not necessarly yield a better component per hour (cph) value

    Upgrade to Windows 10

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 лет назад

      Why? Firstly, the software is only supported on Win7 (some have gotten it working on win10 through some hacks) - Secondly, all this machine does is run the PnP - what do I need win10 for? Extra bloat, more bugs, no advantages, same result.
