For me, she has picked up the torch of the unforgettable Geoffrey Parsons, who elevated the role of accompanist to the same category of the greatest singers and instrumentalists he accompanied. Yeol Eum, who has a deep musicality and a powerful and unmistakable personality, is always up to (and often exceeds) the instrumentalists or singers she accompanies. She never goes unnoticed because she gets involved in the work they are performing with unquestionable authority, even with vehemence when necessary, but she does not seek protagonism, which she always gives to her companions with exquisite elegance. She only seeks (and achieves) balance, perfection and beauty.
