OLDEST ACTIVE PLAYERS IN THE NBA IN 2023:
    1. Udonis Haslem, 42 years old (has barely played 10 minutes this season)
    2. Andre Iguodala, 38 years old (has barely played, averaging 2ppg)
    3. LeBron James, 38 years old (30ppg on great efficiency, Allstar, heroically carrying a crippled poorly run Lakers franchise when his body allows it)
Unprecedented. Iggy and Haslem both said this is their last season too, so lebron will be the oldest player in the league next season 😳

(Note: the following data is from 2020 and before, but pretty much nothing has changed since then in terms of LeBrons averages)
Lebron is not a good shooter:
Shots outside 3 feet - 37.5% regular season, 35.9% playoffs.
In the clutch (5 seconds to go in the game or OT, shot to win or tie game) Lebron has shot 19/94 (20%) in clutch situations. Jordan shot around 50% in the clutch, literally the same as normal, which is the definition of clutch. People say LeBron is a better 3pt shooter but but LeBron only shoots 1.7% better than Jordan whilst playing in the 3pt era, 3 pointers were not important in Jordan’s era, so his percentage wasn’t actually that bad. They use all time threes as a point but if someone shot a lot from three for 20 years they’re guaranteed to have a lot of threes. They also use FG% to make the case that LeBron is more efficient but he shoots the majority of his shots from layups and dunks which is a lot easier to hit. This is why Deandre Jordan is the leading all time FG% leader. Jordan shoots only 0.8% less from the field while shooting significantly less in the paint.
LeBrons career totals only prove of great his longevity is, which we already knew. Also his longevity only shows how great of a athlete he is, not how great of a basketball player he is. If Jordan played 20 years he could have 45000 points and be top 5-10 in everything. (With the exception of rebound and blocks because he’s a guard, duh.)

Goat is also about the inspiration, flow, style, magic and a pure joy of watching the athletes perform. Imho I still would choose MJ over LJ. Basketball cannot ever be just a craft but, in a skilfull mind of a player, - an art as well. LJ is like a forcefull hammer that dominates physically and mentally the courts. He is like playing video games with cheat mode.
I would say that if there is a game 5mj vs 5lj the outcome is obvious. LJ titans will crush MJs. Yet it would be the most beautiful defeat, the art vs machine. Basketball Thermopylae.

      Legacy and impact>
