    You are quickly becoming my favorite Laptop reviewer! Like you said, there's been an uptick in youtubers reviewing the gaming laptops anddddd they lack experience, knowledge, don't even know what to look for etc., etc. You do it justice my brotha! Love from Colorado. Enjoy that South Florida sunshine for me haha

      Thanks for that. It’s been raining here a few times still sunny. lol. Thanks again.

    heatsinks and thermal pads on IC's and other power controllers even the integrated ones pad the whole chip

  • @EinSwitzer
    @EinSwitzer 7 месяцев назад +1

    laptop coolers help out so much , BUT BUT BUT , it has to adapt to the extra cooling also they are designed to run hotter then norm so its about holding 75c 85c etcetera then you will notice the chip trying higher frame rates even a swiping effect of textures or even smoke and light realism boots in default

    Flawed testing methodology, you should test the temps with the laptop on a desk first (without the cooler), then on the cooler.
    The cooler turned off with the laptop on it blocks airflow and it has foam on the sides, which is a thermal insulator.

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  7 месяцев назад

      While I would agree. Temps didn't matter either way on the 2 laptops I tested on.

  • @Redlavastone
    @Redlavastone 4 месяца назад

    And yes, the laptop he was using needed to be cleaned. The reason why the cooler wasn't affecting the temps was because his cooling fans were probably caught up with dust blocking the intake and outake

  • @EinSwitzer

    My guess based on what I’ve read it might need thermal paste and a heatsink clean / then run it without the cooler for a while to make sure it can “run it” as in doesn’t crash or slow down “without cooler first” then run the games then turn on the cooler the chipsets have to warm up In order to be within operational ranges when it’s too cold it wastes energy to warm up / keeping it at temp under load and having it not downclock you will notice a very nice performance increase that’s enjoyable for hours

    I would always recommend cleaning your gaming laptop. Don't forget that gaming laptops are different from normal modern laptops you find in walmart. gaming laptops almost have the same component as a gaming desktop.

    This definitely works but it is loud, even at a relatively 500 rpm (it goes up to 2800).
    I didn't continue with it.
    Honestly, it's REALLY loud.
    I was quite disappointed. Everyone and there mothers been covering this and most people suggest at low 500 or 800rpm it's not that loud.
    It's very very loud.

    • @thevoid11223
      @thevoid11223 29 дней назад +1

      All fans make noise, its the reality. 500rpm is like a mouse compared to a roaring 2800

    • @samhawkes6597
      @samhawkes6597 28 дней назад

      @@thevoid11223 true, but there's fan noise and then theres fan noise. I can 'tolorate' it at 500rpm, and you do still get some benefit with that.
      But it's still awful.
      It's all good though. I'll be doing a water cooling mod on my machine very soon. Then I'll be able to ditch the cooling stand all together

    Last but not least we are still restricting based on heat pipe and metal to transfer so when you feel cold air your laptop is too cold the heat pipes have temps too
