You know how I can tell Brandon is going to be a good school teacher, he takes his time explaining things in full, precise detail, just like how a school teacher would teach students. Maybe someday Brandon could even be a driving instructor himself, he would be excellent at explaining how to properly drive a vehicle, lol.
Six lessons, and this guy is a far superior driver now compared to all those tailgating prats who like to think their experience and so-called 'reactions' will bail them out. It likely won't, and even more so the case with ABS braking making cars halt VERY abruptly if needed, to the point where even very fast reactions will not stop high risk of collision.
Well explained. There are lots of people who try to be "smart" and do the 0 second rule, then wonder why thier cars nose met the other cars tail infront.
just passed my test today with only 4 minors! the mock test videos really helped! thanks pin! and goodluck to anyone taking there test soon youll smash it! :)
@@zoesmith4648 arghhhhh! Goodluck for then! Youll smash it my 1 advice is if you think you had a fault, just keep on driving, i butchered my parallel parking (i parked like half a meter away from the kerb) but i had another go and the examiner only put it down as a minor 😄
@James Stewart the lessons that I take are around 2 hours or so per lesson and I've paid for 26 hours but the have been postponed and my instructor said I'm ready I just need to touch up of things
And remember if you count "One.....Two" thats only 1 second!!! You either start by saying zero at the point in which a car passes a reference point, or as i was taught (and others are saying here) "Only a fool breaks the 2 second rule" - so many drivers leave only a 1 second gap, i can never quite understand why
I actually thought most drivers were assholes- but you’ve just proved me wrong. I always use the phrase, but maybe most others just count..........I’ll educate people with my 9 instead of popping one in the tyre to slow them down.
I always thought that rule was 10% of the speed so if you’re travelling at 30mph there should be 3 second gap between you and the car in front 4 seconds with 40mph etc??
Nah at that point, you'd be clogging traffic and people will be cutting in left and right. Usually I like to use the car length method which is every car length per 10 mph.
Not sure what kind of roads you'll be on but in general..... Keep in high gears where possible, this prevents wheel spinning/loss of control! Though if going down hills where you wont be accelerating, use a low gear as the engine will assist in braking. Slow down in plenty of time for bends and no harsh movements of steering, braking or accelerating. Keep everything slow and gentle. Remember theres no rush, its better to get there late and safe than dead on time! If ever stuck in snow/ice/mud due to wheel spinning, set off in a higher gear such as gear 2 or 3. Use knowledge, is there a particular bit of road which collects water, this may be icy. If theres a dip in the road this too may be slippery. Check your car tyres, make sure you have good tread on them, and that they're either all season (likely) or winter tyres. Keep survival stuff in the car incase you break down or get stuck in snow such as extra warm clothes, high vis, blanket. And (controversially) if you find a large snowy empty car park, have a little fun/practice - try to accelerate then stop to see what distance it takes, accelerate while turning the wheel and see what happens! In general though its not too much different, just keep speed down and distance up, you'll be fine :)
I don’t know why I keep watching your videos I passed my drivers license my first try but it’s really interesting to see these students trying to get theirs 😅
Guys Pin has an Ultimate Driving course we should get that 😂 none of driving instructor has Ultimate course such as Pin we should definitely buy that 😂😂👌👌👌💯💯

Is 20 seconds really what people Suggest for ice? That's 1480 feet at 50mph lol. You're like an 8th of a mile away 😂 obviously it should definitely be atleast double but seems abit much no?

“Only a fool breaks the 2 second rule” 😷
Until a fool fills the gap making you the fool. 😂
Yup this is what I was told to use 30yrs ago and used it ever since, it works great too.

Pin was clearly proud because he didn't have to add anything to what the student said.
Brandon is going to be a great teacher.

at 70 mph you need 3 seconds. the highway code says a MINIMUM of 2 seconds this is always overlooked!
I would've had my driving test in February after 7 lessons but we have just been put into tier 4🙄😂
so 7 hours in total?
