The disc from which this reading of Bouree Fantasque is taken really is one of my favourite Bizet collections. Can't think of enough superlatives to describe its quality but the orchestral arrangement of this particular piece is utterly scintillating. The composition itself seems to point clearly toward Debussy and Ravel.
