- If you've seen my recent WC3 heroes tier list, you might be aware that I've placed Naga Sea Witch S tier, but very rarely do we see her being played as an opener hero... Well, today chat says otherwise as they force me to try that strat, and it looks like Blizzard's janky system isn't too keen on NSW first!

I really wish that Blizzard will add Naga as a playable faction, but it's been 22 years.
The amount of matchups they have to balance now is 6. If they add one more race that number jumps to 10. Considering they are still adding balance changes, I think Blizz is very wary of maling risky changes to the game.

Naga is missing heroes, units and upgrades. The race is not finished. Same goes for Highelves.
Introducing the races would cause a massive disruption in the force.

That's a good idea. I was also thinking of a mountain king for stun. :D
Or brilliance aura and just focus the paladin down.

Grubby is crushing it with the WC3 content lately.
These building positions as choke points for vision/usability... these are genius. :O I should 100% implement them.
good thing i wasnt in chat... i played naga rifles this past week even... My human go-to strat is rifles + tavern heroes. Mostly Rifles + Firelord (incinerate first into soul burn) into naga or mk. but i had a streak where iw as naga first into firelord and it worked well (for me at 4500 mmr)

yeah I felt mana shield was a very poor choice. Better to upgrade everything else first, and maybe pop on late game if she is getting focused...

Wonder how mana shield could be viable. Feels like mana shield will be either useless or broken. Two things to consider, first armor is not taken into account, if we add that it would be much better. Maybe have immolation like style. Cost 10 mana to activate, costs a few mana per second but blocks 45-65-80% damage while costing only like 1 mana per 5-7-9 damage
Back in the day when I played WC3 Naga rifle opener did cross my mind, but my generally low skill prevented me having any real success with it.

Mass Upgraded Fiends + Naga Solo and Mass Expansions with defending with Frost Arrows and decent Units from Back was actually my Tac Request 😅

Opponent had perfect counter build: Paladin counters focus fire, and Blood Mage counters Mana Shield by making sure you have no Mana.
I feel like Naga goes best with ghouls
For a strategy, as human can u bm 1st then naga then max mana shield naga. endless supply of mana from bm then let naga tank

Grubby it was Naga first, not only hero? Why not make pala or blood mage and keep that siphon mana to battery your mana shield?
I tried this a lot of times. Tecnically it feels strong but its too weak vs early aoe dmgs ( lich T_T ) and realy weak vs elves. When you win, you win so hard. When you lose, you lose so hard. That's the theory looks like :D Finally, i learned rifless are strong when you protect them :D

It doesn’t contribute anything to the fight, just makes naga a bit tankier… unless she’s getting mana drained like in this game

You need to focus the paladin. He naturally has too much threat with his aura and the ability to heal anyone else. Sometimes you just have to front to back a team fight in a moba.
