Me dad brother and I in 1970 rebuilt a 41' Ercoupe. Dad would have us hand flip the blades so he could start and test it. In our driveway. The neighbors thought we were all nuts. Took the winter all inspected doped the wings like a model. Fun to fly like a go cart. Lots of memories. it was a barn find and the oldboy passed the wifey sold it to us. I think we paid 2500$ spent three grand on the rebuild. Sold it bought a Beech Bonanza.
That's an inspiring video. Is it OK if I say that I want Sam AND I want that Ercoupe? 🙂 That airplane has always been one of my favorites. I missed the opportunity to buy one and chose a Cessna instead and I probably made a mistake. The most common error (IMHO) that Ercoupe owners make: paint scheme design. In this case, that solid red color is absolutely brilliant. I love it! Keep the blue sky up and thanks for posting this!
@@SamandKadenGoPlaces I’m giving myself a budget of $35K. Mission- simple hundred hamburger and distance no greater than 500 miles. But I am concerned about useful load concerning being 5’10/250lbs.

More pictures, more video, and more stories... 😁
Thanks. My friend Joe just got a 47 ercoupe. It will be fun.
Have fun!
Flying an Aircoupe was so much fun. Having your elbow out the window like in a car.
Very cool.
Very nice 'Coop. I'd like to see the rest.
Coming soon!
I’m actually thinking of purchasing the Ercoupe once I get my PPL. What are you thoughts on this aircraft?
Great value! Really depends on your mission and budget

If you are flying near sea level or alone you should be fine
