Everything you said: YES. Nothing is real anymore, I am not just talking about beauty, the toxicity has bled into every part of our lives. We are currently living in the most toxic, insane, dystopian world, especially in the US. I never thought I would say such a thing. It doesn't seem to matter what the topic is, the comments I see online are so detached from reality or any type of human decency (and it's everywhere). No ethics, no moral compass, no compassion, no empathy. Of course, there are people, like you Cyrille, trying their best to remind people to just do better, but it feels like a losing battle. One of the craziest things in the beauty community is when beauty channels are reviewing complexion products, and they come in for a close-up so you can 'really' see how the product is working, and we can CLEARLY SEE they are using a filter. What is the point? I wish there was a re-set button that I could push so we can start over - it's really very depressing. Thank you for your content. I am so glad I found you and your channel! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘

I agree 100%. Our healthy skin shines through all minor imperfections. These so called imperfections make us more interesting. All of these perfect babes on YT are tres tres banal and boring.

Bonjour Cyrille, this topic is so important. I would love to see more diversity in the skincare and beauty community. I’ve recently assessed my RUclips subscriptions and consequently unsubscribed from many. I’m an over 60 Caucasian woman but my most respected RUclipsrs are yourself and Jordan Samuel for skincare and Hung Vanngo for makeup.🙌🏻🌟😘

Excellent reflections and considered perspectives on a rampant set of undermining circumstances and trends. Good to call these things and be reminded of our humanness, unique, often flawed, sometimes absolutely gorgeous, all incredibly subjective really! Captain Cyrille my absolute hero always! Merci

Salut Cyrille!... I am new to your channel. Good to see and to hear that beyond the beauty world of skin care reality is always important....AND that we are all different and not having perfect skin is so normal....skin care is fun and always changing!!! Diversity is the future...it makes it just very exciting!!!

    Dear Cyrille,
Avene has good sunscreens, both organic and inorganic, but as a company they are not so much cosmetically oriented. Second, most of them are SPF 60 plus, meaning it is probably hard to avoid white cast. On the other hand, different philosophy has been taken by eltaMD (Colgate Palmolive): much lower SPF; no avobenzone to avoid yellow surfaces after washing; use of zinc, titanium and one or two organic filters. Colorescience is another similar example. Personally, I do not have any problem with white cast in public. Complete sunblock is as white as a wall !

After proudly commenting first (small victories lol), (edit: nvm!!!) I did hear your whole video, and definitely, couldn’t agree with you more. I love your skin care videos, but have worked hard to be honest with myself and “industry” which can be hard. Thanks so much!! Merci 🌸

Avene even says on their website "no white marks" (imgur.com/a/C9UVdsQ ), but like you say, all their untinted products leave a very visible whitecast. And the tinted products have such specific color, that I think it won't work for the majority of people.

We don’t need makeup or skincare products at all. 😁 We can live and be beautiful without a single product.
