Agreed. I was on a hour long trip and I was in a Thomas Saft-Liner C2. Let me tell you, THE RIDE. My buttox actually hurt getting off that bus. Then I asked my friend how his ride was and BOOM. Perfect. Like that is so anxious. IC for the win.
I drove an IC bus with air brakes in 2008 in Rome, NY and the buses were great. Steering controls housed the door open and closers, yellow warning lights, red override. But the one thing I loved about the 2007 buses is the light check goes through each light no matter where it is and goes through a continuous cycle. The sequence went from red, yellow, yellow, red, red, yellow, yellow, red. As this went through the cycles, you could see all lights in the back including the backup lights and dim running lights to bright brake lights. In the front you could see the high and low beams switch on and off. Then I drove a Thomas C2 and the light checker was an individual one by one bulb check. It would go all the way around the bus and when it got back to the front again, it honked at you. Now they have a button where they all light up simultaneously. Much easier and user friendly.
