cool rc and great overview, have a great weekend my friend
Thank you very much , you to my friend :) take care
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 thank you
That looks so good in that colour. 👍🏼
Cheers Damien, it’s a really nice colour shame Land Rover didn’t actually use it ;)
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 My mate I go RC with has a Landy and just bought the CC-02 Landy. Yeah, I appreciate that colour isn't one they produced but it really does suit it. 👍🏼
Ha ha, Andy, you're a funny guy! I think there has been at least one time before where the car in your video had been swapped out with another, or some quirky similar story! Anyway, this one turned out to be a great back story for your video.
It looks really nice! You're right, they did a great job on paint and decals!
I'm in the process of preparing a CC-02 build myself, I definitely agree, it needs to be slower than what the silver can motor provides. But of course, you can always buy a slower motor and swap it out, but in the remaining bearings in the same go.
Ha ha cheers Mads, yeah I like my cars/videos to have a story with them. It’s not the first or last time that I’ll end up swapping cars about and getting them back in again ;) the landy looks great and I’m super pleased with it. Mads which cc02 did you go far ? Merc, unimog, or other ? I’ll deff fit a slower motor at some point. Cheers 🥂
Thats wicked, nice one!
Cheers Gavin, it’s a really beauty and on a great platform as well, as you know.
That is kind of cool that you got this and it that it was featured in the magazine. Sad to hear the magazine called it quits. I still like getting my RC Car Action in the mail and thumb through them all the time. It is a cool truck and the added bonus of it all is pretty cool!!
Thanks Addam, it all happened a bit without realising it at first but once I’d figured out what it was plus the fact I knew I’d regret selling my original chassis, it was a need too have purchase ;) magazines are great , I don’t like online zines. Only thing I don’t like is when mags are just full of tons of adds and no content , obviously the adds pay a lot towards the mag being produced though. Cheers again fella :)
Looks really cool Andy! love the light blue color,it fits it perfect! Thank you for sharing and have a great day!🙂
Cheers and thank you. I wasn’t sure on the colour at first but I’ve used it before on other things, now I’m Used to looking at it, it does suit it very nicely now :) cheers fella
Looks great Andy. If I was going to get a CC02 it would be the Land Rover 😎
Good man ;) got to love the classic looks of the Landy. I don’t know if you ever have had a trail truck or crawler type vehicle, I can recommend them totally different aspect of the hobby.
Hi Andy. Good call to get this lovely CC02, it's a real looker! Amazing you managed to get the actual car that was in the magazine! A little bit of history right there. I also prefer locked diffs all round if you are going to run these things in the rough. But yeah, the stock tyres are completely pants! Sad the mag has ended though. all the best and take care, mate!
Helloo! :) yeah I think I made the right move in buying it. I think there was a bit of luck in getting it but pleased I did. At so my e point I’ll probably lock the front back up , it doesn’t seem to be as bad with the open diff on the front as the cc01 , but I think that’s to better gearing and chassis design. Very sad the mag is no longer with us. Speak soon and take care :)
I have the Tamiya Mercedes CC02 truck. I installed a Holmes Hobbies 550 brushed motor in mine. Thoughts?
Hi Alfred , did you lock both diffs on yours ? I did on my original cc02 and will probably do on this one as well. Tempted to try the HH crawler motors , I hear good things. I’ve got a couple of the HH motors they do for vintage buggy’s recently
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 Hello Andy Only locked 1 diff. I locked the rear diff only. The HH motor is very inexpensive, but it has good torque. I also thought it was kind-of fast, but I like that. Thoughts?
Full ball bearings in it and lock the front diff.
That’s exactly what I did in my other cc02 defender , so will most likely do it to this one at some point
The tires that are on it now you should just use them to run on pavement.
Thank don’t use them at all , I’ve fitted the cc02 bronco tyres / rock block tyres off the hilux high lift
Get a 35 turn Tamiya motor for it.
Will be doing something like that I did a rc4wd 45t in last one
