The title says DJI Mini 3 pro waypoints, but you're not using a mini 3 pro, and you don't talk at all about waypoints. I bought a mini 3 pro because i thought it had the same waypoints as the Mavic 3 pro. When i found out that wasn't the case, i bought Dronelink. But then i found out with dronelink's waypoints, you need to maintain connection with your drone at all time. This doesn't work for me, because i live in an urban area, where my connection distance is sometimes less than 2,000 feet. I thought it would have the out of signal range waypoint mode that the Mavic 3 Pro has. This is not dronelink's fault, because it is a mini 3 pro hardware limitation i guess. Anyway, just letting people know.
Many thanks for your comment Jeff, I've made a few videos with the Dronelink DJI app and I'm using my Mini 3 Pro. As Dronelink is the only third party app that works with the Mini 3 Pro, unlike Litchi that still not got it working correctly. You must make sure you have the updated version before flying or it wont work. ruclips.net/video/82vWT3pl650/видео.htmlsi=47TMo0bCM0cSCr85 Many thanks for watching.
None of the third-party apps will load on the RC1 because there’s no internal memory on them they did put some memory in the RC2, but I don’t think you can load third-party apps it’s just for recording screen
In any case, there is no MSDK out for the drones compatible with RC2 / RC-N2, so there are no 3rd party apps to be had for flying the drones anyway. If and when dji release the MSDK for the Mini 4 Pro or the Air 3, any software will still probably be tough to get installed on the RC2.
@@olabergvall3154 : yes there are a few 3rd party Apps (SDK released Aug 2023) for the Mini 3, 3Pro , 4 Pro , Air 3, Mavic 3 etc... but as the newer Mini 4 Pro (and up) already incorporate Waypoints , Orbits, tracking etc.. it makes them all kind of redundant.
Great video as always. Just one thing I think you could do to improve your videos. Please please make your screen shots BIG and the shots on you and the surroundings SMALL. That would make a huge improvement 😊. Thanks//Mats
Hi Shaun I'm new to your channel and been watching your channel for a while now. Great job. I've been using mini 3 for some months now it's doing great I want to upgrade to mini 3 pro or 4 pro. Which one is the best for O.As for photography business Welbeck here from Accra Ghana west Africa Stay blessed and safe all the time.
The Mini 4 Pro incorporates the latest avoidance tech and has a great Waypoints planner as well. Remember, all Quickshots on the Mini 3 are maxed out at only 1080p.
looks like a pretty cool interface, eh? I hadn't heard about DJI dropping iOS... I tried looking it up real quick before commenting here, but only found 1 story so far... Are they dropping iOS all together or just for 3rd party app support? Either way I gotta say booooo!!! lol
It's only regarding support for 3rd party apps. This was already the case with the Mini 3 series, but they've since stated that future releases of the SDK are going to be Android only. This does not mean future iterations of dji Fly app (or whatever name they choose for future native flying apps) are going to be affected.
Thank you Kev, it seems in future drones this will be the case as the DJI RC & RC2 are both Android. Good question about the third party apps, that will be up to Litchi, Maven and Dronelink, if so, they should give you the android version for free but we will have to see what happens. Many thanks for watching.
@@shaunthedronethank the Lord!!!! Lol. That’s a load off. I can understand the 3rd party apps being limited but I was concerned the fly app was heading in the wrong direction. I don’t know if I can justify to Kristi changing phone platforms to fly a drone. Hahahaha.
The part of “need to be beta tester” isn’t clear. I have a midi 3 pro and just want to locate my land limits with the drone, get the gps coordinates, and have the drone fly in stratit lines from one corner to the others.
Hi Phil, I've been on the beta tester list since last year, Litchi pick so many to be testers and as far as I know they have still not gone live so you can use your Mini 3 Pro to do Waypoints, but Dronelink you can. At the present moment there seems to be a problem with Waypoints, with DJI doing so many updates at the moment it has caused problems with the Dronelink DJI app. When I release my next Dronelink video with Waypoints, as well again. Many thanks for watching.
Another third party I've bought and wanted to test it out and see if it's better than Litchi or the Maven app

@@shaunthedrone yes, but you can’t put the app on the RC1

this is ironcially one of my preferred channels for simple mini 3 pro content. i hate the american guys who just wanna look cool. thank you

Thank you and thanks for the feedback, always good to hear more ways to improve my videos. Many thanks for watching.
The UI of the Drone Link resembles the Fly app a Lot. I fly the Litchi app quite a bit and it's UI is more cluttered But it's in your sight for sure.
