Thank you for sharing this footage, I have so many happy memories of this beautiful town. My Dad and Gran John and Margaret Chisholm used to live at the bottom of Highcraigends before they passed, and my late Mum Agnes Graham (Nan) was also from Kilsyth and lived on Hamill Drive years ago along with her Mum (also Agnes Graham) and all her brothers and sister (The Grahams). I just love this town 🤗

I grew up near Kilsyth and my father was born there. The Garrell Glen as we called it was a.regular haunt in summer.

I remember the Main Street being cobble stones and my mum used to takes to us to the art deco Dawsons tea room.
I hear the Co-Op tea room was tice too.
Dawsons was an amazing bakery and all the furnishings,seats,they had booths.....it was all Charles rennie mackintosh....Worth a fortune
