I love how enemies ate other enemies but instead of letting their stomachs consume, they just keep the enemies in the stomach, like a forced hotel.

2:15:50 the reason rock pikmin get weaker from spicy spray is because spicy spray doesn't increase your attack, it sets it to 10 which is great for all other pikmin types who have low attack but have normal fast headbutting attacks. Rocks on the other hand don't have normal attacks, they have body slams that attack way slower, but have 40 base atk, so by using spicy spray on rocks you make them 4 times weaker. also bonus fun fact it technically makes reds weaker as well since reds have base 15 atk, but because it increase pikmin action speed by 1.5, they do the same amount of damage

as for how spicy spray lessens the attack power
i assume its that the spicy spray doesnt increase attack
but SETS attack to a certain value. that value is usually higher then the normal attack stat but in the case of the rando it actually makes it WEAKER cause the base value is higher then the spray value

I really wish Pikmin 4 was the perfect Pikmin game. If they made it where enemies actually respawned and gave harder enemies the longer you played it would be decent. People complaining about oatchi's ability to make the game easy just need to dismiss him and go about it like Pikmin 1
The game isn’t designed for you to not use Oatchi especially in certain caves due to the level design needing his jump. If the captains had a mini jump, it would allow for less reliance
