A sense of normality is refreshing, and that's not just about the weather. I particularly enjoy seeing you referring to thanking the use of resources and your style of presentation, it's just a pleasure to watch.

Love your channel and the clear explanations of different models. The bom in oz has become SO unreliable both in short term and their long term forecasts as they seem to be beholden to 'the world is ending, this year will be the hottest we've ever seen, we're all going to drown'. Its refreshing to get a FULL explanation of what's going on. Keep it up

Pretty neutral, then a little la nina does not sound toooo bad for the next month and more. Is what you are saying is that it will in the end be an overall average summer? And how many really hot Norwesters visit us in Christchurch? Thank you Phil.

Do you see any evidence of the Southern Ocean Osicillation tied to the solar cycles/activity?

It's not really blue though is it? It's violet then indigo... then back round to blue

It would be interesting what the climate would be like without the Southern Alps or if they were only half as high.

More rain on the eastern side of the island would get through. (I think?)

Christchurch would probably get wetter and more humid.. Southland and otago would be a lot wetter too. Fiordland and west coast would be slightly drier

The southern ocean usually allows cold wind to pass over South Australia a welcome relief for Mount gambier during the summer heat. Some years when anomalies occur between Antarctica and Oz, we get high temps up to 40C. Phil are we looking at the anomalies this summer?

. . . on your world map why do yo show antartica's relatively small cicumference compared to the equators distance as the same length ; and how do you fit all the lows beneath the highs around a small antartica circumference ; whoops , cognitive disodence . . . 😎
