Thanks for that comparison with the Polinibox. It's a bit hard to tell from the mic, but how does the Siproad 3 sound compare to the Siproad 2? One thing I really like about the Polini box is how it doesn't have that metallic treble in the exhaust note, like a chainsaw. The Siproad 1 and 2 had that sharpness, whereas the Polinibox sounds more like an original exhaust.
thx for the impressive Vid! current setup T5 172, 24si, 52mm 120/50, original box, cyl 174/124, ex port 67%, peak at 6100 rpm, almost full torque 16,4NM 4200 rpm, changing to 54 stroke now 120/65, expected 20 torque at 4800 on original box. choose SIP 3.0 or Polinibox? my thought ->Polini (better sound/torque) timings change to 177/126 for 6600 peak and 7400 max rev., or take SIP 3?? actually tested BBT: perfect torque curve, peak apprx 6200 rev till 7400, but CRAZY vibrations is a NOGO ;-) thx a lot for commenting :-))
bbt way to noisy and manifols too low i would go for polinibox, sr3 has looses a bit in low rev, ads in very high rev. consider bigger blow down, leave transfer as low as possible 176/118/29 is a very good cyl timing and if rv tolerance 0,05mm is provided, extend the intake timings
Because it was quite narrow BUT consider the quattrini m244 is not a normal cylinder. 127 instead of 110mm conrod, and the exhaust connector is 1mm wider than standard 200cc cylinders
I just replaced the great SIP Road 2 with a SIP Road 3 on my PX125 (ex CAT 2015). Cannot get the right jetting and the best is same as the SIP 2 with Air 120, Main 96, Idle 48/100 but have not touched the difficult to access Idle screw. Acceleration is still great, but top speed dropped from max 56mph /90 kmh back down to the original 52mph/82 kmh. Worse is the front tube of the exhaust hangs too low (as seen at start of your video) at 11 cm ground clearance, or 9 cm with my 119 kgs on it - so it scrapes on the road on bumps or cornering !! UPDATE - Front shocker was worn out, and with my weight is maybe why Road 3 was grounding
Jop. i know. Too low it hangs sadly. No idea why they didnt consider proper ground clearance. Full speed is not the idle anymore (mainly) the issue is that original 125 is pretty weak (esp for grown ups as us) so its better to first invest in a 177 cylinder. not sure if with jetting ur speed problem will be solveable... u might need a dofferent cyl. Vmc superG ie
@@FreakMoPed8 I agree. You will know better than me that the PX125 CAT has been limited with timing and port sizes etc to pass Euro 3. Will just have to buy another SIP Road 2 to get back up to 56 mph max as the SIP3 is being damaged, and is annoying and very embarrassing to scrape the ground all the time.
On original 125 engines, box nearlly brings nothing.... (not so on 200cc) its end the end only the no cat effect is my guess. ruclips.net/video/jVDNTkHzVl4/видео.html
I know. It was very surprising for me too as sr1, sr2 ans sr XL are perfect in respects of ground clearance. The new viper is also too low (and too loud..)
Hi FMP ..been watching most of your video I have question about this SR3, does this SR3 need MRP adaptor center stand when i use in vespa rally/sprint? As we know polini big box will need MRP center stand adaptor to use in Vespa Rally/sprint
polinibox in my opinion. nicer sound, higher manifold, more torque, the bit more reving of sr3 is only available in 1st and 2nd gear, in 3rd and 4th you dont reach this reving anymore.
Ciao..Was looking to replace my Sito+ ( PX 2002 / DR177 + 24/24) by a Sip Road 3.0...anyone has idea on how better it would be ( or is it not worth the change).
Hi, great video as always, thank you! I have a question and would be really grateful if you or anyone else could help. I have a px malossi 210 sport (ported) with reed valve and dellorto 30mm phbh carb. I have a pm tuning expansion chamber exhaust and I am getting fed up with it. It really gets in the way of the centre stand and the end can is very, very close to the ground. Would a sip road 3 work with my set up? Would I lose a lot of power? Would I have to reduce any of the jets? Or is there another exhaust that you would recommend for my setup that wouldn’t rub against the centre stand? Is the Polini exhaust better? Thanks in advance for any advice. Phil
Merci pour le test 😊👌

Spot on, your description. Soundwise, i would still give polinibox the point. Direct comparison to come!
udate: still polinibox in my ears 🙂
Vespa t5 😘😘😘😍😍😍👍👍👍
Actually its a gs, px200gs its called from 1987 😃
Spanish MotoVespa??
no, its a px200gs, a t5 frame with 200cc engine, sold ens of 80ies in middle europe

@@FreakMoPed8 Wow! thanks indeed for your helpful and prompt reply, much appreciated! I'll try to keep the cyl low and the piston rings alive ;-)
right now i´m using a sr2 but now i want the sr3 !!!
its indeed a HUGE step, i prefer the polinibox tough... ;)
HI Freak, did you install the hydraulic front brake on your T5? If so do you have a vid please?
I did. I used the mmw handlebar adaptee back then. But better ones are available now. Checkout mrp, mj9
Which is better for PX125 2007 stock engine, Sip Road 2 or 3?

@@FreakMoPed8 ok, I think I buy it soon.
Can you tell me why you use the iron hammer to mount the exaust on an alluminium cylinder?!?
Scuse me for my english.

Which carb do you use in this video? Have u some gsfdyno test?
dellorto phbh 30, yes check out my facebook page, there is a picture folder about it
in videos here for instance
