My elder sister has been living with her fiance for more than 15 years and they had 5 kids my sister is an Igbo while her fiance was a Dalta man they both moved from Benin Edo State to Ondo State, about 3 or 4 months back the man went on a traveling work outside Benin unfortunately he died and our people said that the man's people must perform the marital right before their son can be buried otherwise the kids will never be theirs they did the traditional right and buried him peacefully.

So you are married to a dead person 😮. How do you go your separate ways in order to remarry? These things can hunt you for a lifetime. You are now bonded for life with a dead person. A familiar spirit can immediately enter you and live your life for you. You no longer have control of you. I hope you all know the spiritual implications of these things? That's why it is better to marry than to live outside God's promises for his children. Smh 😢

It's true 👍 we Ghanaians if a man didn't pay the bride price of a woman and she dies, the man will perform the marriage rite before the body will be buried. It's just a punishment to the man for taking someone's daughter for free and it will also set as an example to other men who are living with women without marrying them. The Ghana 🇬🇭story is true 👍

Well, I think marrying a lady who lived with you for a long time and acted as a wife deserves a marital rites to ensure her soul is well respected in the afterlife. It shows you love her and appreciated her efforts in being with you cohabitating... I don't see anything bad in it unless you never loved her and was just using her as a plaything.

There is more to this so called freedom than meet an ordinary eye. They all are in spiritual bondage of the dead. Their dead partners will never leave them alone untill they die. That is the spiritual inmplecation.

My mom died when i was 13 years old & my father was asked to pay some money because when my mom was alive he didn’t marry her so in other for him to fully have me as his daughter he was supposed to pay some amount of money before my mom could be buried but i believe he didn’t
So in my case now if i have a suitor who wants to marry me, then my bride price will not be paid to my father rather it will be paid to my mom’s people because my father didn’t marry my mother before she died

It's when humans do the opposite of what God says, that they do what they do. God said you should marry a woman before you live with man decides to marry them when they are death. God said after death you can remarry, but man decides to marry the death. Oh

Okay, if you kill someone, it’s the states case. Even if the family of death forgive you….. the state should charge you…. The family can forgive for their peace and for them to move on in peace. This pastor should not be free.

Better do the rites to avoid stories.
Unless you have strength to do continues follow up later.
Outside the normal igbo culture, some families go ahead to do things that can hunt generations later.
      Please always respect tradition.
