We've discredited the intelligence of animals for far too long. It's crazy considering how little we know about our own brains. I love videos like these that challenge traditional views.
bnenomore we actually know a lot about our own brains.
*other animals
Ali Veli ur dumb lol
bnenomore *You’ve discredited animals for far too long.
@@AliVeli-gr4fb humans ARE animals. And you are right WE are just a little better than inanimate objects.
Wow. Epic camerawork and amazing little creatures. The original Blue Planet showed how we'd underestimated fish and other marine creatures, but this one really hikes up the respect. As ever, the Beeb shows how to do it and Sir David is *the* best narrator.
Indeed, this hikes up the respect, same as the resent book by Jonathan Balcombe (2016) WHAT A FISH KNOWS. I've enjoyed the film even more after reading the book.

is the camera work from Scubazoo and this scene shot in Mabul?
Man these footage are so perfect I can't believe it's real! I keep saying CGI!!!
I was so in awe of the footages the entire clip as well. They even caught the laying of eggs up close. Can you imagine the amount of work and luck they needed.
Awwwwwwwww, I remember teamwork from, "Finding Nemo." They are amazing. And, adorable. Good job sweeties.
وينك عل الا صارت دنيا دينهم
They should call this version of the Clownfish the Mimefish. The black, white and orange ones are regular Clownfish, these are black, white and yellow:3
They are called "Saddleback Clownfish"
They are black saddleback anemonefish

This is more impressive than orcas' team hunting techniques!👏🐟🏠
What an amazing animal! Until today I never dreamed that the clownfish would work in large teams to reproduce in the way that they do and it's just so interesting to learn new things. And while I'm on the subject, I have to add that David Attenborough is a truly amazing presenter. I highly doubt we will EVER see a narrator as good as him, or a documentary as well made as ANYTHING he lends his name and his expertise to, or at least not in our lifetimes.
David, on behalf of all you fans, and in particular this comment section, I thank you so much from the bottom of my(all of our) hearts. God bless and please keep up the great work!!
such intelligent animals amazing
Tom tonka absolutely agree. Sir David Attenborough has profoundly enriched lives, nourished hearts and enlightened minds - leaving a legacy that has touched the lives of million around the globe! I pray that we still can enjoy his presence for many many years to come. In deep, sincerely felt reverence & awe: Thank you, Sir David!
It's funny because only two of them will actually reproduce 😂 the rest are part of the group, waiting in line to become the next mom or dad. Clownfish are truly amazing.

I've kept these many times in My Aquarium, they are some interesting Animals to behold. Those Amazing Clown Fish. You Gotta Love Them. Lol.
So happy to see the Kingdom of Clownfish and Coconuts work together at last.
alexkg1 yes, world peace next.
Aww, they're so cute!
Incredible! Are you sure this half coconut shell was not thrown to the fish by someone in the crew? :D
The fish swam to shore, crawled along the beach, climbed up a tree, grabbed a coconut, broke it in half and carried it back into the sea.
Well even if it WAS from the crew at least it helped us get footage of the incredible incredible intelligence of the clownfish
the shell had seaweed on it, so pretty sure it was in the water for some time, lots of coconuts and lots of water in the tropics! crabs, octopus and other sea creatures have innovative ways of using coconut shells, google octopus and coconut shell, for some entertaining footage :)
Mohamed Farouk what difference would it make how the coconut got to that spot? The fish worked together to solve a problem. The film crew didn't make them do that.
Mohamed Farouk your everywhere
I would support a research project to try and keep David Attenborough alive forever.
@christopher snedeker No ! invent a drug to make him immortal or clone him
Gods creations are amazing😁
They sure are (I'm an atheist bye the way but respect your beliefs)
🌠 True. They only reflect their Creator.
when does mr barracuda come for a visit
Jam Z AHAHAHA
Omg flashback
too soon man
Shush, we shall not be reminded of the scene that broke many hearts.
It literally traumatized me as a child when i watch that scene
People who say fish don’t have intelligence and can’t feel pain are so wrong.
They don't have the neural complexity to form emotions, nor the advanced nervous system to feel pain. I guess in your world, feelings are more important than scientific data.
Fake Grapefruit But they do have the capacity to learn new things and apply this knowledge in situations like these
we judge there intelligence on our ability of understanding them.
you cant study a fish and expect it to feel pain like a human. our anatomy is totally different. we can conduct these study's on land mammals because they are all alot like us and there anatomy is very similar to our own.
a fish on the other hand has a totally different evolutionary line, of course they are aware of what they are doing and of course they can feel things around them. whether or not they perceive it the same as humans and other land animals is not the argument Norwegian woods is making. he is just saying they feel something and this is pretty obvious. have a fish in a bowl at home? if you poke him with a needle he will jump and swim away from the needle of course they feel things happening to them, they arent feelingless like you are implying, they have feelings just like everything and they go about there lives depending on these feelings and sensors just like we do and everything else does. just because it isent the same as ours dosent mean they dont feel.
Fake Grapefruit you don't know what you're talking about. The scientific data points otherwise to your ridiculous statements.
First of all, pain is due to nociception receptors on skin which fishes infact do have. Nociception has been documented in non-mammalian animals, including fish[21] and a wide range of invertebrates,[22] including leeches,[23] nematode worms,[24] sea slugs,[25] and fruit flies.[26] .
Sneddon, L. U.; Braithwaite, V. A.; Gentle, M. J. (2003). "Do fishes have nociceptors? Evidence for the evolution of a vertebrate sensory system". Proceedings of the Royal Society B. 270 (1520): 1115-1121. PMC 1691351 Freely accessible. PMID 12816648. doi:10.1098/rspb.2003.2349.
Jump up ^
Tav Tav lol did you even read the article? "Nociception is the detection of a noxious tissue-damaging stimulus" That is not the same thing as pain let alone pain conception or reception, it's merely the detection of toxins, which can be traced down to microorganisms as well. You're the classic example of someone twisting and interpreting information in order to suit preconceived conclusions.
Edit: You're also misrepresenting the purpose of the abstract, which is about research done to study the evolution of the nervous system from it's most primitive forms, not whether fish can or can't feel pain.
That was freaking awesome!! Thanked for this beautiful insight BBC 💙
unreal. just amazing..
I knew Nemo is real! Hehe such smart and cute little clown fish.
Why is this so cute...... and there really smart.
It is so awesome to see how life creates life with ingenuity and teamwork. Clownfish and their ability to cohabitate with the anemone is a sight to see. If only mankind can learn from this.
Wow... Amazing nature. Let's try to save it..
Rather not. As soos as human get involved, they disturb what God has made beautiful in His sight. Leave nature as it is, He will take care by Himself 🙏
@@elmarieking9590 yes you're right
Just watched it so amazing & satisfying !
I really appreciate all the hard work the team spent on this 💙💙💙💙
It's amazing to me how we've long discovered the incredibly important and fundamental roles coconuts play to the lives of many species. One of nature's greatest structures.
“I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts.”
There they are standing in a row
i watched this entire documentary before and it was honestly the most precious and wholesome one i've seen about the ocean life 🤧
They are so brilliant
Those tiny ones are just adorable
Amazing, blue planet will always be one of the most incredible nature documentaries out there
So adorable, cute and intelligent Clownfish.
This tells a hole more about this little fish and how they compreend the world, or are set to their surroundings. Vizualization of the process, some kind of comunication, all that with thecombined efforts, leads to a safe home for the eggs. Simply amazing ❤️❤️
That is just stunning
Just when you thought they're just beautiful, man, they got some brains going on. How awesome.
just adorable..
whoa, can't wait for the episode
You would never think little fish could do this!
🍁 Reminds me of the tiny ant who has wisdom only God could have been built inside of them. Proverbs 6:7 "The ant have no chief, no boss, no manager - no one has to tell them what to do. You'll see them working and toiling all summer long, stockpiling their food in preparation for the winter". Indeed, Christ is all in all. 💫
lovely
I'm never bored when watching BBC Earth.

Everything on earth is having a task..
My favorite fish, the Black Saddleback Clownfish! 💝
They are smart and adorable.
This is absolutely beautiful
Even fish have a sense of community ... animals are examples to humans.
Lupit! Amazing Nemo.
"And he can't move it by himself."
Fish at 1:22 - "RAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

This is what i live for
Hardwork never fails...good team spirit by fishes...
Only nature can make me smile:-)
The only sea creature that ever attacked my was a little Clown fish because I got to close to its home the sea anemone. Absolutely fearless it bit my finger again and again.
Animal life is way smarter than humans will ever be. They had a 350 million year Head Start
For some reason I be thinking these things are fake and CGI, they be capturing such perfect moments.
We humans can learn a lot of them, great teamwork!
Wow, so much forethought and planning.
I love how that fish's tails wiggles it's cute
Genius.
Love ❤️ the cute noises they make.
So so so cool what great and smart little fish
They are chuffing like sweet birds?? Amazing
wow, beautifully filmed as always.
Simply incredible!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My goodness, fishes are so cute & smart. 🐠 🐟
Our look on life should change after watching these little animals, even the smallest creatures have structure in their short life.
"Unity is strength... target doesn't matter 💪💪💪.
A clown fish can find a solution to a problem and some of us humans cry about the smallest problems.
Sa CUUUUTE!!! Love the fishies!! 🐠💟🐠
The Mistry of why the coconut shell was required was amazing
Power couple right there!
Most fascinating video i've ever watched
