There's a sadness in this. Noddy on his own in a gym where it all began. Playing an acoustic version of a song that brought them right to the top in the 70s. Wonderful man Noddy. And a wonderful group Slade. Rock on lad.
@@dannyvine3605 I honestly can't remember much of the Grimleys. My father used to love it. I was quite young when it was on. But I've always loved Noddy and Slade. I really wish a full release of this version was made available.
An unplugged album by Nod would have been wonderful but with the recent news about his health it's never going to happen. That man is a national treasure. Nod, here's wishing you long life and good health. You are the voice of our generation and we love you for it.😊
Such a brilliant acoustic version of his own song. Noddy Holder was superb in The Grimleys and a very accomplished actor. It's a pity that it only ran for three series.
Kind of sums up end of an Era,I was lucky to grow up in 60s and 70s, played in bands NWOBHM heaps of gigs, records, gigs..good times..all gone thanks to AI and algorithms, maybe noddy saw it cumming...I feel sorry for the youth of today...my son is a great drummer, just taught him Jimmy Powells shuffle, sad to think he'll never get to use it in a band....love you noddy, I'll never forget slade at knebworth and yes you did bring the house down...
This was in The Grimleys he plays a headmaster in this excellent comedy, thats why hes in the gym. We hadn't seen him for years on tv it blew my mind. Legend ❤
I mean this sincerely, Noddy Holder and Freddie Mercury are two of the greatest rock singers of all time. Why? They can carry a great tune and hold it till the fat lady sings. Rock on Noddy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always loved slade, since was at comprehensive school in early 70’s, they.we’re part of our lives, and, in my case, never left mine, hearing noddy do c’mon on an acoustic, without the band, is just so good. Will never forget this amazing band, and it’s members, as long as I live.

I could listen this forever. Pure gold. What a great singer he is.
I wonder if the crew working off camera realized what sheer brilliance they were experiencing

There is no sadness here. This only should that his voice and the music, can easily stand the time of even acoustic.
It fits in with the theme of the episode. Lost dreams -what could have been. That is the sadness. Something we all share.

Wish he’d do some acoustic shows. This is gold
They would be complete sellouts..i reckon even if he played the 02.
Noddy is recovering from a serious condition but has been given the all clear for his recovery ?

I wish we got a full version if this its beautiful
A travesty that this wasn’t released along with the tremendous acoustic version of Coz I Luv You that he did on Grimley’s
Magic
When you're gifted with such great voice and make so many people around the world happy, it should be illegal not to use it
No words for this.......what a voice..why was this never released ????????
Wow. Awesomely magical performance.
Wish it was the whole song.
nod, the rock god, best live group, of the 70,s , early 80,s by a mile, sadly, never to be repeated
Easily acdc in the 70s. Bon Scott paved the way for the best live rocker and highest energy. Lemmy motorhead dio and Steve perry can attest to that
Should have a Knighthood by now!
Someday mankind will invent a distortion appliance similar to Noddys voice
The very best voice in rock keep on rocking Noddy
BRILLIANT! October 2022: The song is now in Heart Foundation TV advert - hopefully a new lease of life?
I remember this when it was first on tv and it blew me away😊

Unfortunately real talent isn't even look at these days. This crap they produce today just encourages violence.
you have always made me smile and happy, thanks

Ноди это моя молодость!!!!!!Он лучший и навсегда в моем сердце!!!!

If anyone wants to play this beautiful version Nod plays it in the key of D major.
Just wow!
Very cool

Love ya.
One thing wrong with this fantastic clip..of Noddy... acoustic....it's not complete...but still very very good... Melanie 32 ❤️🌈
We love you Noddy
i love it....Ich liebe es..... sehr schön......
Freaking awesome
Sounds double-tracked rather than echo, but great. Wish there was more acoustic Nod.
Love it
excellent
Never ceased to amaze me he did no solo stuff. What a waste
The business!
Wow
“I donnnnnnt knowwwww whyyyyyy”
Great 👏 👏 👏

super
Original from the past Noddy Holder
le grand Noddy Holder ,l'âme de Slade
Where’s the whole version?
This is the whole version
This is all he sang for The Grimleys. He didn't do the whole song.
great cover
It's not a cover, given that Noddy actually wrote and recorded the original.
Hahahaha great cover!! I just split my gut.
Can you cover your own songs?

Noddy always listed oasis as one of his greatest inspiration lol
someone could use AI to produce the whole song
Slade is my favorite band. No one is better than them.
