The WA Wheat Belt is perfect for a cooler weather getaway and when permitted, a camp fire. Fortunately, most people seem to stick to the coast allowing that secluded feeling I go looking for in the bush. The smaller wheat belt communities really appreciate the patronage of visitors to their towns and businesses while most provide well maintained and friendly caravan parks for when you need to shower and plug into power.
Thanks as always Marc and family. Stoked to be heading out next weekend and not just vicariously traveling. Lucky to have a mate who lives near dalwallinu and that we can glamp in his older 40' bus home, to visit buntine and petrudor rocks
Had to look at your website for the correct spelling of Xantippe. When I stayed out that way last year I was reading the shire newsletter and they were pleading for people to stop stealing the "Struggle st" signs 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing and you've done a great job. We've been to most of the wonderful islands of nature in this video but you have inspired us to visit a couple more.
Great episode Marc👍👍👍I have only 2 camps to tick off your list but they dont allow dogs but are planing a solo run to explore them 👍👍👍 Cheers for sharing 🍻🍻🍻 Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
Fantastic video Marc, great selection of free campsites in this video, really enjoyed this one more than usual. I'm not even going to have a crack at you over your pronunciation of Pithara. 😆
Hi Marc, loved the video I watched it twice but missed which site has the split rock that you use in the intro at 34 seconds, where is that one? thanks Pete
Kokerbin Rock near Shackleton, Weowanie Rock north of Yellowdine and a bunch of spots east of Koolyanobbing and north of the rail-line… umm, there’s literally hundreds of great spots like those in this vid. I grew up in Quairading so it was a buzz to it get a few mentions.

Well done. Thank you for showing off WA.

Good job you mentioned Xantippe, I had a quick look and found I forgot to put the video up on that page.

Some good camp sites there and good advice too. A few that I would like to check out. I might be looking into the first one in a week and a half

LOL I get a lot of places wrong, I'm guessing the ARA bit needs to be emphacised? I get in trouble for Boranup too LOL
Heading to Eaglestone in May to cook a burger 😉
Toapin weir has new BBQ and lighting as of my visit July 2024. Thanks.
Love it.
3 Springs
Toilets, ablutions, cleaned daily.
I think that is more like a caravan park facility though and not a free site.

Thanks. That one is Eaglestone Rock which is a bit south of Mukinbudin.
Honourable mentions not on the list?

My wife is allergic to dogs so campsites that do not allow pets are high on our priorities.
