  • Following the end of the Noctis Aeterna, the Imperium of Man was left in disarray with lost contact and worlds overrun. Under the new leadership of Imperial Regent Roboute Guilliman, however, it had a plan that may ensure its continued survival.
A huge thank you to Wib for (once again) voicing Roboute Guilliman!

They should do some narrative campaigns with the Custodes, sisters of silence and other Crusade forces. It would sell and be good for lore

This serves as yet more evidence that supports my assertion that Roboute Guilliman should have been Warmaster. He was uniquely fit for this role not because he was the greatest Warrior but because he knew how to use great Warriors to maximum effect. He was by far the greatest logistician of all the Primsrchs.

      @somerandomguyfromthebeyond1821 5 лет назад +4

he didn't had the social skill required for the role though, a prime example of this is his realtionship with Lorgar

@@somerandomguyfromthebeyond1821 Sicial skills are irrelevant to supreme command of a military force. Guilliman's superior logistical aptitude allowed for expert planning. Social skills are for diplomats and morale officers. The goal was to build an Empire and Guillimans realm of Ultramar was a perfect microcosm of what the Emperor's vision of the Imperium of Man.

@@UncleMikeDrop that is true but it doesn't work when you are leading forces that are each like the old Qin empire versions if the 6 dragons. With a System like this and with how much power each primarch had Social skills would be needed especially for someone they don't see as above them but their equal

@@somerandomguyfromthebeyond1821 if only the Lion had the social skills, he'd have been perfect. Horus was way too emotional and personal for the role of Warmaster.
Even in Horus' own words "it is too hard" when it came to dealing with humans.

I agree and disagree. Let me explain by example. During world war 2 Patton was a better field commander then Eisenhower but he had zero diplomacy skills. A person like Patton commanded and expected it done while Eisenhower was able to get different countries and different goals to operate as one. Now take that to warhammer from what I understand and I’ll admit I’m not as versed in all things Warhammer as most of you are Guillimen was a expert warrior and planner but not a diplomatic expert. And while planning and war skills are the best in combat you have to get the other Primarchs to work together especially when they all want different things.

The Pylons caused the great rift. When a gellar bomb forces reality into an area on non-space, it pushes that warp energy back along etheric paths cut nearest to the bomb, in the case of the Mechanicus books, the warp path taken by the ship they brought, which blasted a warp storm right into the planet they came from.
Funny that the great rift now stretches along Guilliman's path.

I imagine that a few more Primarchs will rear their heads sooner rather then later. And I imagine they will not be pleased with the over fanaticism of the Imperial Church as a whole. Perhaps the Imperium will split into two separate entities. One who clings to the belief that the Emperor is a God, and one who goes back to what the Imperium of Man was meant to be. I rather hope the Primarchs will side with the old ways and not the bat shit crazy Eclisarchy fanatics who essentially killed the Imperium in the first place.

Assuming what you say happens at least a couple of Primarchs would have to side with the Religious Imperium, since otherwise no one players would pick forces on that side.

You are missing one important point. The entities of The Warp-whatever you wish to call them-have already established a system of worship: The Chaos Cults. You cannot simply wish them out of existence. What Guilliman reluctantly came to realize was that the Imperial Cult was necessary to oppose the forces of Chaos and unite the Imperium. He personally found it distasteful, but it's usefulness was clearly evident.

You know that basically saying yeah the guy on the Golden throne is not a god and can fail you but hey there’re the chaos gods how about joining them instead? In the 42nd millennium it’s already established that there are other gods, the Eclisarchy only stop people from worshipping chaos by saying that the Emperor is a true god all other gods are fake; if people actually found out it’s actually the opposite it’s going to be a mass conversion to chaos or something else like genestealer cults or something. If Bobby G want to end it anyway, he should wait at least another millennium, where chaos is expunged from real space (that is if gw would let it happen) and then use martial law, heavy censorship to cover the chaos stuff but that against the original imperium about “truth” and “enlightenment” isn’t it?

Oar in. The Emporer has been slowly regrown and in fact the Psychers weren't being used to keep him alive but keep his webway open to reach the place where the work was being done over time. The fact the tech worked is how Guilliman was regrown. During the remaining time the Emporer was working on his DNA work and the Primius Marines are the end result brought about to completely replace the current Chapters (being that every single chapter/Legion has serious genetic and psychological flaws minus the Ultras, hence Guilliman but no other) and the 'dream' of the perfect soldier was deeply flawed....These Marines have 2 jobs, infiltration and recconisence..to find Chapter brothers that might be loyal to the Chapter destruction and those just worth saving...2. To be in place to destroy from within and to poison any Geneseed remaining to stop the chapters escaping and growing.. The Deathwatch was created to try save those chapter brothers worth saving before the final cull. When Elves tried to get into the Throne room it wasn't to get to the Emporers remains but to get access to the Webway, they know implicitly how to use as Eldrad helped create it in the first place. The scientific research by the Emporer has slowly seeped into the Imperium via the Deathwatch etc as can be seen with the ever increasing technological advances in the last centuary. The current Crusade follows the Emporers favourite plan to the tee.

A good chunk of the logistical stuff, including the quote from Guilliman, is drawn from July’s issue of White Dwarf! Some bits will also be drawn from the Dark Imperium novel and the Space Marines codex too, so there’s a few different sources!

But they would be soundly crushed or pacified.
To stand against the true Sons of the Emperor, is to stand against the Imperium itself.
Can you Imagine Russ returning, and the Inquistion saying it’s heresy? The entire Wolf legion AND their new Primaris would stand against them...no one wants that, especially in the dire state the Inperium is in
