    thank you for this video! i just had one question about picking my 3 artworks. i want to analyze a watercolour painting found in a folio from 1550's safavid persia. the only problem is that the artist of the work is unknown, as most artists of early modern persian miniatures are. i was thinking to compensate the lack of knowledge on the artist's identity with a lot of research and inferences about his or her motivations in the work and what this may reveal about their life, OR that the artist's anonymity itself could be intentional as a form of challenge towards a corrupt and suppressive government, but i am not so confident in how this would be percieved by examiners. i really love the painting and truly understand it, but there's no artist. is knowing the artist's identity absolutely necessary? and if so, is it okay that its only one of my artworks that have an anonymous artist? should i just find a new piece? thank you!

    • @bluelavaart
      @bluelavaart  11 месяцев назад +1

      That is really tricky but if you really love the artwork then I would include it. Explain that most of theses artists from Early Moderna Persia that created miniatures were unknown, and talk about that. Tht helps bring in the cultural context. Remember, cultural context does not have to be biographical information. Just as long as you support your assumptions with evidence. Good luck

    thank you, I have a question about the font size of text in the CS and PP. What font size should I use and is it the same for CS and PP

    • @bluelavaart
      @bluelavaart  Год назад +1

      You're welcome. Pick a standard font that is easy to read (Arial, Calibri, etc) If you are using Google Slides or similar, aim for 11 or 12. I believe that is what IB suggests. However, it will be tricky to fit all your content with that size font. So you may need to go down to 10 in some areas. Captions can be smaller at 8 pt. If you are using some other app for your slides it may depend on the resolution. My suggestion is for you to have people try to read it in non-full-screen mode. That is about the size the examiner will see it if they are grading it on a laptop. In the end, you want to make sure the examiner can easily read your text so you may have to make some judgment calls on where and when to alter the font size. Good luck

    Thank you so much, but I have a question, where I can write my introduction?, like , what you recommend?, In the slide where I present my 3 artworks or my introduction in just 1 slide?

      I have another question, Can you give us some guide questions to write the introduction?😭

    • @bluelavaart
      @bluelavaart  Год назад

      Great question. If you use 3 slides for criteria, A, another three for B another 3 for C and 3 for D, that’ll be a total of 12 slides-You have a total of 15 slides for these criteria. (Another 5 slides for Criteria F if you are HL) that gives you some wiggle room to include an introduction or add more content to any of the criteria that you need. Personally I think it is best in the beginning but there is no requirement to do it in a particular format.

    • @bluelavaart
      @bluelavaart  Год назад

      @@giemethhidalgo217 include a good quality image, fully cited for each of the artworks. Include a brief introduction to the overall theme or ideas that connect the works. And then I would do a brief introduction to criteria A,B,C for each of the artworks. I hope this helps. I replied to your other question above forgot to tag

    I have 3 artworks from 2 different authors. Georgia Okeefe (2 artworks) and Yaioi Kusama (1 artwork) Is that ok?
    Because the cultural context of Georgia’s works will be similar

    • @bluelavaart
      @bluelavaart  11 месяцев назад +1

      That works fine because O'Keeffe and Kusama are from 2 different cultural contexts. Good luck!
