Making A Embossed Leather Keychain - Leathercraft

- I wanted to make more rewards for my Patrons on Patreon.com and I thought leather keychains would be a good idea. So this week I made a one. Well, not only one, but many of them.
Some are for my Patrons, some are gifts for friends, and others are for sale. You can contact me on my email address to order one, or support me on / theredsmith
I used 6oz/2.4mm vegetable tanned leather, brown and black leather dye, leather oil and varnish, and some rivets.

They came out great! The must be a jig or something you could make to speed up the lettering? Must have taken ages.

Thanks. It's called Eco FLo Super Shene. It seals the leather and makes it shiny. Hope it helps.

Thank you Dylan!! I think it was 8mm rivets, set with a "rivet setter". You can find kits online with several size of setters.

For a picture ? Best way to do that is a laser engraver. But it ain't cheap...

It's just brown leather dye.

Hello Joey. I would be happy to help you but I don't know where you live. I'm pretty sure you have a craft store near you or you can also order everything online. Several brand sell beginners kits that are great to get started for only a few bucks. I hope it helps. Thank you for watching!
