funny thing... i viewed this and many of your vidsf when i first started leather crafting... ummm, im still new, as ive only been dabbling for a few months... it was way over my head at the time... sooo, i believe im ready for this next step... overcame the fear of stitching, zippers, cutting curves, wet molding, skiving, and finally attacked a gusset lol your vids have helped me sooo much... tyfs
Believe it or not, this keyring was the first thing ever i made with leather and giving it to my wife. I‘m new to leather working. And i made a second one to give away. Thanks a lot for your video! Hello ftom Vienna
My local Tandy didn't have any of the 3mm leather cord. I went to Walmart and found some 3.6mm rubber screen spline. The material is used to hold screen cloth in place in a screen enclosure. It is flexible, takes well to contact cement, and you can skive the end just like leather cord. Oh, and it is WAY cheaper than leather cord.
If you don’t have any leather cord, you can use Paracord for the cord too… you can thin out the ends of the Paracord by cutting some of the inner stands out and then pulling the sheath back down… I always have a buttload of Paracord scrap in my scrap box that I’m looking for things to use it for… now, I can incorporate my Paracord crafting with my leather working!
Thankyou I watched your video found it very easy to follow so I made my first key lanyard out of scraps I had laying around even hand stiched the edge first attempt at hand sticking
Well, I'm using 1.5 mm leather one inch wide and there really isn't enough to stitch so I'd recommend 1.25" wide and 1 mm leather thick. And I'm using 3 mm cord. Might have to junk this and start over.
Well well well some nice tips and things to learn here, when I put on ma leather, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.
Really like the design. But the ring looks like it might be a hassle to move (twist) around when you are threading on keys. Have seen this with other leather key fobs also, and it makes me wonder if people will find it a hassle getting their keys on the ring. Maybe I should just buy one and find out! LoL :)
Could you make a Hair Barette with a stick through it like they use to sell in the stores I'm in need of one bad? I would like to know the basic price of a starter kit is minus the leather to start out with and who has the best for the bucks?
If my leather looked like the leather in your videos, I would never again have to purchase dye. Do you have a go-to brand or tannery you prefer above all others?
Is there a reason that you (and others) cut the leather with the “outside” facing up? Meaning the side that will be showing is facing up and not down when you cut a pattern. As opposed to dressmaking - when cutting out a pattern, you put the material facing down.
certain leathers "mark" very easily. you can damage the finish by sliding it around on your work surface. So best to avoid the possibility of it happening.
So how do you plan your day. After you get all your orders done? Not sure if my question to you are any on. No one answers. Hopefully my question are not so bad !
There is no pattern - we talk about making your own and what measurements you might need through the whole video (also why we didn't provide a pattern though ;) )
I am interested in making some keychains like this one and I would like to use that leather cord but I am having trouble finding it. I’ve clicked the link below the video and what I see in there is not leather cord. Can you help me find some leather cord?
Enjoyed the video but thumbs down for too many long ads that couldn't be skipped through in the middle. That disrupts the flow. Put them at the ends and allow skips.

Thank you! I just came back to rewatch and ask about paracord as a filler.
Just made one for my wife this morning using this video as a guide. I didn’t make an exact copy but pretty much the same. Thanks!

Nice corder pounder hammer. Could you advise where we can buy it. Thank you so much
3mm 8 inch core, 12 inch to wrap in video
Thank you for video. How thick is the leather should be for this kind of keychain?

Please make a camera strap for vintage cameras.
Looked through the comments to find but no success. What was the length of the piece holding the key ring? 1.25 inch?
Where did you get the ring ring loop engraved? Or is that a service you offer? I’d be interested in that service
Просто поставил лайк👍✌️✌️
Да и комент написал 😁👍
Why you don't use a clamp for stitching?
what board is that you are using when punching the stitch holes?
Where do you get the Leather Cording?

What if I don't have a Little Wonder press?
What brand of contact cement do you use?
Barge or Weldwood
Can I order this keychain from you? Thank you
Is that cord 3mm really?
Класс! 👍🏻
when can we get the patterns for bags and satchels :(
there are free patterns for a few of the bags in the video of those bags, we also give all the measurements through the videos :)
Alternate title - "Just mellow it out"
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice 👍🏻 is that pounder for sale somewhere?
not yet, but soon!
I just got an order of 3mm leather cord and it appears to be roughly half or less as thick as what you used in this video? Are sure this was 3mm?
Same here...🥴
corter pounder? no cheese? But for real, are you coming out with a tool line?
We're making a few tools, yep! not sure if we'd call it a line but 3 to start :)

You don't send the pattern for this project ?

You sound a lot like the man who does paracord bracelets... Bored paracord... Lol

That little thing is to small to so in a stitching pony securely.
