@@MIMIC-XLLate response but Sega has mandated that Sonamy is canon. The reason they probably don't have get them get into a relationship in the games or IDW comic(my theory anyways) is to keep Sonic being an independent character who always is going on different adventures to keep making new games. If they let Sonamy fully happen it'd be a bit difficult to find reason for Sonic to do a adventure outside of the same old Sonic needs to stop Eggman routine, because he'd be more settled down as we've seen in those 10 years later fan comics or the boom Sonamy fan comics.
