This shift to Tails’ POV is really nice. Not only does it give us a look into how things happened from his perspective… but it also shows us a bit of a deeper layer into Sonic’s story- before the game even starts.
I can even understand, because usually it's not the real characters, it's real people who can't think like them.And yes, when It is the character itself, I can understand your points.

Another option is the illusion of free will in that game. no matter what decision you make in the end it only put you to where your meant to be. No matter what character you choose no matter how good you play or how fast you are in the end the game is that you die because it makes things easier to say that exe cheats. But the problem is that technically the player is, what’s killing these people exe is just death. And the characters in the game know it.

Sonic (and probably sonic.exe aswell) is faster than tails, so the way tails dodges his attacks are probably predictions based on what he sees, because while tails isn’t as fast he isn’t slow enough to just get blitzed. So tails sees the motions sonic.exe makes and dodges based on predictions. I also like tails’s quick thinking, trying to keep his distance as much as he can, stomping the ground to force sonic.exe to back off, before either clashing with sonic.exe’s dash to knock him back or just knocking him back with a strong attack (can’t tell). Tails could either be trying to keep a distance to study exe’s fighting style, or just to have more time to react to his moves, or maybe trying to find an opening to escape. And the way tails shoots at sonic.exe at the end of the encounter tails knows sonic.exe is fast enough to dodge the bullets, so he outsmarts exe by making all the bullets return and hit exe all at once. Amazing fight! I really like how this contrasts with knuckles’s extremely close quarters boxer-like fighting style and metal sonic’s speeds moves which seem to be trying to blitz exe. It also contrasts with them how tails isn’t trying to beat exe but escape instead since he knows he would have a better chance beating exe if he retreats and has time to think about the encounter and recollect since he was put on the spot against a sort of unfamiliar threat

But besides the story, the animation is top notch nothing looks rushed and the mood transitions between horror and action are well time, so take as much time as needed to to make the next one Incredible.😁🤙

One problem, I hate how sprite animators take advantage of tails being 8, it does not mean that he can’t fight well because we have seen him fight back a lot of times like in the Dreamcast era, examples of tails being almost powerless is this series and super all star bros, but great video non the less!

I literally saw a prey reference in 30secs but this animation is awesome,finally seeing tails not nerfed so badly.and also eggman recognizing the disguise of the Exe not too late and no plot armor makes the thing perfect.Plus,knuckles punching the exe a episode ago and the exe saying ‘When will you realize that your digging your on grave’ meaning that knuckles is actually is hurting Sonic inside his mind means alot of Plot!I hope to see you create more animatic masterpieces!

One problem, I hate how sprite animators take advantage of tails being 8, it does not mean that he can’t fight well because we have seen him fight back a lot of times like in the Dreamcast era, examples of tails being almost powerless is this series and super all star bros, but great video non the less!
