Once again, if they fought in the games (not Exe games, the normal ones) then it’s most likely the first reason. 7:12 - 7:15 is my favorite part for this ep. Around the beginning of the time I gave we see the gameplay (shows the rings and time etc.) of when Tails fails to run/fly- away from Sonic, including TAILS BEING DEAD. This goes back to ep one when tails gets sniped, we saw sonic THINKING he was talking to tails but in reality he was in spectator mode in fortnite while having his mic muted thinking everyone can hear him, while EXE was the one in control in the physical world.
