- The seasons change once again, and the winter winds are starting to blow across the land. The first frost has appeared, and the deer rut is in full swing. Here on the Suffolk heath, the energy is a strange mix of winding down and readying for winter, combined with the excitement from the deer as the stags roar their challenges at dawn and dusk. The geese are migrating, and the last leaves are falling. Hallowe'en/Samhain/Winternights has come and gone, and now it's time to find courage, strength and peace in the darkness ahead.
