Personally he does pay homage to "LIE" through this video so I think "LIE" is part 1. You are so cute and funny....lol....., Jimin said it's a German poem that goes well with the song. He used autotune here to convey the dark feelings, it's actually brilliant and in an artistic way. Seriously, Jimin put out a masterpiece.

I was shocked too when I first saw the MV. I did not expect this type of hip-hop genre and concept!! Jimin is incredible!! I love how he and the other members are breaking out of their personas and trying different things!! I'm so proud of him!! I love the symbolism of the MV and the lyrics!! I'm even more excited about the album, can't wait!!

So on watching this for the umpteenth time I noticed something toward the end when the dancers are lifting jimin is definitely in my option a call back to lie but when he makes that reach upwards makes me think of his solo dance after black swan from the online concert. And when he ends it in the white outfit reminds me of the outfit from serendipity. It feels like he's calling back to all of solos like these are part of me but I'm freeing myself from the person I've been perceived as. Getting to start new

I had mixed feelings on this song. I don’t personally like overly processed vocals but it was a personal choice and I will respect that. My biggest issue with the song is with the use of AAVE considering he isn’t even black but that’s a whole thing for another day.
He had a hand in the composition and production. So it was also his decision. It’s meant to give off a darker and more distorted vocal. To fit the mood of the song.
