I think OSU fans do in fact appreciate Braxton. Fans I know still talk about him and in large part because he stuck with the program when some were bailing on us. Will always be a fan favorite
K-State fan here. I’ve watched every game Howard played at least twice. He’s a great kid and is extremely intelligent. My prediction is that Ohio State brought him in to help the younger guys mature and that he will only start the first few games. He lost his starting job at K-State to Adrian Martinez as a junior, then mentored Avery Johnson as a senior and ultimately was going to be QB 2 behind Avery if he came back. His biggest issue is overthinking and not just playing. This causes throws to be late and led to a ton of interceptions last year. He’s got the tools if he can ever settle in and just have fun out there. In all honesty, he was the 4th most talented QB in Kansas behind Avery Johnson and (it hurts me to say this as I HATE KU as much as you all hate Michigan) the 2 QBs that played for the Squawks last year. I’m writing this from Canton at my in-laws as I’m catching up on where OSU fans see Howard fitting in before I go play golf with her die hard Buckeye family members.

We held up good vs MU a lot better than Bama & Washington by far & they’ll all be a year older developing for another offseason
JJ can in no shape, form, or fashion hold a candle to Braxton. Braxton wasn't the best passer, but neither is JJ. BM completely dominates this comparison in running and athleticism. Not even a contest.

They did the same thing in 2013 => then lost both post season games => proving they were and had been nothing but paper tigers. Hard to win Big Games w/o a downfield passing attack. Miller and Barrett were pathetic. I liked Troy Smith better but he too was impotent in real downfield accuracy. And when Ted Ginn Jr went down => the illusion was revealed to be w/o substance. You can believe all the BS you want to => if you drink enough of the Kool-Aid……
