That area in the teaser image looks like the lobby with the newspapers over the window. I’m glad they’re listening to feedback and have changed the tone, made it more horror focused and changed the hide and seek gameplay to moment to moment gameplay where you need to think and plan. I didn’t like SB, but I’m looking forward to giving Ruin a shot
As someone who really wasn’t a fan of the base game, I think this DLC was a lot of potential to make up for many of security breach’s shortcomings. Really looking forward to playing it and seeing what Steel Wool studios is capable of when they’re not rushed.

Hot take, the most terrifying part of the initial game was sneaking around and being chased by Shattered Roxy. I have no idea what it is, but blind enemies always freak me out. When you hide in plain sight as something walks pass you, just praying it won't notice you (Another good example is the Janitor in Little Nightmares). But yes, I am SUPER excited for the Ruin DLC. I think Security Breach's biggest weakness was how free-roam it is. As fun as the game was, it made it extremely lacking in story, which is my favorite aspect of these games. I think having the story more linear and guided will make the plot way more structured, but still just as fun. Bendy did it beautifully, so Freddy can too :D
As much as i loved the buggy nature of security breach main game at launch, as it was the most fun i've had playing any fnaf game when i could just do random stuff and it ending in a funny glitch. But i really hope Ruin will be what security breach should have always been.

I’m so bummed out. I hope it isn’t a year long wait for a messed up game, again… They said they want it all to work before they release it, but our Xbox version still won’t let us beat glitch-trap, despite updates saying they fixed those specific glitches (ㆆ-ㆆ)
I'm honestly kinda heated about this. First they tell us it's releasing in July, when it might as well be dropping on July 31st at 11:59 PM. Second, when they do give us the release date, it's only for Playstation and PC?? And they can't even give us a speculated date/timeframe? Just a half-hearted "stay tuned..." I really wish they would just ACTUALLY finish it for all the major consoles (I understand Switch being late for optimization reasons) and THEN drop it. They could have easily told us that it was dropping in August or whatever so that they could drop the Xbox one too! They're the ones in control of the dates and the release, so they could have easily given themselves enough time to finish up before release without us ever even knowing that it was already finished on other consoles. But now we have to sit here and decide whether to blindly wait on them to release it for us with ZERO idea of when it's coming, OR we decide to watch it be played on RUclips because everyone else with a PC or PlayStation already has it. It just really takes the excitement out of it. I've been waiting for months and months. I'm gonna try to keep interest in it, but if it's not released within a few days to a week after the PS4, PS5, and PC release, then I'm gonna have to just watch it on RUclips while I still actually have some passion for it. It just won't be the same having to watch it vs getting to play it. Sorry for the long rant lmao, I don't mean to seem ungrateful. I have Security Breach on all consols, but am maninly an Xbox player, so it's a little annoying that it wont be on xbox for a while, but then again it wasn't released on xbox until most of the bugs were worked out, so I'm happy they are taking the time to minimize the bugs.

as happy as i am that they are focusing a lot more on preventing bugs, i really hope it still has some fun, avoidable bugs that don't break the game or at least don't ruin the experience (immersion might break, but the fun of the game won't). also its guaranteed that speedrunners are going to absolutely ruin ruin and that will be interesting to watch unfold
As much as I like all of the new fnaf games. They are continuing a story, when Fnaf 2, Fnaf 4, and Fnaf 5 (At least I think) all take place before fnaf 1, its something so unique to this franchise and its even cooler that some people don't even know that fnaf 2 and fnaf 5 are before fnaf 1, it adds that mystery and just having it the player doesn't even know when the game takes place just adds to it. I do hope they make more games that don't continue the story, but expand it (If that makes sense)
Bit of a theory i just thought of, might make sense, but might not: William Afton was (and has been) in "purgatory" with Cassidy since UCN. After that, from Help Wanted, to Special Delivery, and through Security Breach, "glitchtrap" is not Willy A, but its the Mimic. It makes sense, in SB, Vanny (from what i remember) could seemingly appear out of nowhere, and with the vanni mask in Ruin, that makes sense. Also, in Help Wanted, the glitchy virus was desperate to escape by any means necessary (indicated by the fact that all endings in HW result in the virus escaping). In Ruin, we see the Mimic virus trying to escape as well, by any means necessary. Maybe the glitchtrap virus was never william afton, but it was Mimic. I know he was still "alive" in the end of SB, but to me this just makes sense and it kind of clicked in my head. Could be right, could be wrong. Dont care, its just a theory. Honestly since it’s a dlc I think it’ll be better since they’ve learned how to deal with bugs and glitches and other random things that just so happen to mess up the game. The base game came out what would be 2 years this December, they’ve done several fixes and tweaks to make sure that it runs properly or as close to properly as possible for such a massive game. Another thing is that this dlc has probably been in the makings since the base game came out so they’ve definitely learned from the base game and probably tweaked this while making updates to the base. You always gotta give them the benefit of the doubt though since the game is so huge.
It sucks that we’ll have to wait for Switch and Xbox, but I’m sure the wait for those will be worth it. I’m gonna refrain from watching videos on the gameplay once it comes out
I just love it when I have to wait longer for a dlc just because I’m not on PC/Playstation (I’m certain that it’s releasing later on Xbox just because steel wool made a deal with Sony to have fnaf SB release on PlayStation before other consoles)

Hello everyone! Just want to let some of you know that *the game releases on a later date for Xbox and switch.* The date is currently not specified yet, but my guess is, it will take a few weeks. They've stated that they wanted to focus on specific platforms first so they can focus on the game more, which probably means they haven't started working on porting the dlc on those platforms yet. So here's a question.. *is it worth waiting, or should you watch a RUclipsr play it?* Answer: it depends on what platform you're on, for example, if you're on Xbox, then its definitely worth it! But if you're on switch, you may have a better experience watching a RUclipsr. Why? Because Nintendo can be a bit greedy when it comes to DLC's, and may charge you, even if its supposed to be free, plus, the graphics aren't as good as Xbox, and will actually take longer to load than usual, and also have chances to crash or have huge frame drops. I hope this helped you all, have a great day!

honestly i think the flop of security breach was really important for steel wool because it seems like scott really did choose well and these people do have the community as the #1 priorty, so i trust them and im excited to see what they have in store for us come 10 days
I think maybe the ending that ruin follows through with is when we escape the night, I don't really watch lore vids so if I am wrong, it's been proven already my bad, but it said there will still be missing children and then Gregory goes out into the street to sleep Vanny shows up, I think that Vanny kills/ takes Gregory for hostage. If she killed him, she would use his voice and basically copy him and getting a new kid to go missing like it said in the ending there will still be missing children, but if she takes him hostage Vanny would take Gregory and use him to blackmail the girl and again so more children would go hostage, and Vanny will be the main villain of ruin DLC but a mean the only thing I could say about the building going into ruin would maybe be there was a natural disaster destroying the whole building making it go into ruin and over time people would vandalize it like people vandalize abandoned buildings.
I've been a big fan of fnaf for a couple years but in terms of most of the community, I'm really new and I've only played a couple of the actual games. It is so much fun to actually be a part of the waiting and excitement for all these new things coming out. Your excitement and updates have been a big part of that, John. I'm curious if all the level 10 doors that were just a void in the base game are gonna be important or if those are just gonna be cut off? Since the whole place is shut down I dont imagine there will be any sort of power to these security doors and we'll have reason to explore them now

In relation to the last bit, about going into the SL bunker, I really like RyeToast's recent theory about HW2 being Cassie's brainwashing experience (to become Glitchtrap's new minion). I still also super want your theory about the CharlieVirus being extracted from Baby, honestly mostly cuz it would, i feel, redeem Baby's character in a way that we've been missing. NotAName has a wonderful video about how Baby could've been the next Big Bad and how cool she was and how wrong she was done in the very next game. Anyways, so excited now ahhhh thanks for the hype !!!

Hey dude, fun fact for you. With the right settings, and there’s RUclips videos that shows these brightness settings, you can make the pizzaplex in base game dark and “lights out”. No mods or anything needed! Just turning down brightness, gamma, and the other visual setting slider I forgot what it was called haha. Could help you enjoy the game more on your next replay!
That makes sense that the trailer is barely anything in this final game. The trailer really only shows the Roxy Salon, Chica Bakery, Monty Golf, and The Daycare so that means they probably are keeping most of the locations a secret.
I'm with you on all those predictions. I think there may also be different levels of the pizzaplex to explore - namely a theme park style thing to link up to the books.
I’m not gonna lie, Security Breach WAS scary for me. Like I’m 21 and about to turn 22 in 2 days and the kitchen part with Chica and the endos sequence took me a long time to beat. Not to mention, Monty became sort of a phobia to me because I have a fear of alligators and crocodiles so having him chase me when I got caught by accident made my heart pound in my chest out of fear every time. So seeing Monty now in this ruined state with only one eye, is gonna really get me.
7:52 Now altho your throwing it out there- I definitely agree with that small thought becuase of 2 things: 1, as far as we know and as far as where seeing from that Help Wanted 2 trailer it looks like where going BACK to SL and not going back to the HW VR headset. NOW if there is more clues later on in the trailers showing that where back on a headset then 2 isn't really a correct theory but- 2, I think there is DEFINITELY a deeper connection between SL and SB then what we actually believe... I have sat in my Rookie corner and thought about a few things of both games and there similarities. Firstly the amount of references that have been brought to attention in SB: The room in micheals home, The Afton family in one table (where did we find out more about the Aftons? SL, before SB-), Funtime Freddy's and Baby's mask being on the blob. Secondly, the similarities between the animatronics: At the end of SB Roxy loses her sight, who can't see in SL? Ballora. At the end of SB chica cant speak because she loses her voice box, who dosent have a voice of their own in SL? Funtime Foxy. We have a green eye character who wants to help us but instead hunts us and trys to trick us- no not just Vanessa, Baby also tricks us at the end. And don't get me started on the similarities with the mechanics we get! Fixing, Flashing lights, crawling to some places, MUSIC MAN- there are so many similarities between the 2 games that kinda just sits in front of our facese... what dose it all mean?... i didnt think that far- BUT. Similarities.there. means something.

It may be due to an exclusivity contract with Sony, that's just how exclusives work, it was the same with the base game

Also, in Help Wanted, the glitchy virus was desperate to escape by any means necessary (indicated by the fact that all endings in HW result in the virus escaping). In Ruin, we see the Mimic virus trying to escape as well, by any means necessary. Maybe the glitchtrap virus was never william afton, but it was Mimic. I know he was still "alive" in the end of SB, but to me this just makes sense and it kind of clicked in my head. Could be right, could be wrong. Dont care, its just a theory.

Honestly since it’s a dlc I think it’ll be better since they’ve learned how to deal with bugs and glitches and other random things that just so happen to mess up the game. The base game came out what would be 2 years this December, they’ve done several fixes and tweaks to make sure that it runs properly or as close to properly as possible for such a massive game. Another thing is that this dlc has probably been in the makings since the base game came out so they’ve definitely learned from the base game and probably tweaked this while making updates to the base. You always gotta give them the benefit of the doubt though since the game is so huge.

Hello everyone! Just want to let some of you know that *the game releases on a later date for Xbox and switch.* The date is currently not specified yet, but my guess is, it will take a few weeks.
They've stated that they wanted to focus on specific platforms first so they can focus on the game more, which probably means they haven't started working on porting the dlc on those platforms yet.
So here's a question..
*is it worth waiting, or should you watch a RUclipsr play it?*
Answer: it depends on what platform you're on, for example, if you're on Xbox, then its definitely worth it! But if you're on switch, you may have a better experience watching a RUclipsr. Why? Because Nintendo can be a bit greedy when it comes to DLC's, and may charge you, even if its supposed to be free, plus, the graphics aren't as good as Xbox, and will actually take longer to load than usual, and also have chances to crash or have huge frame drops.

honestly i think the flop of security breach was really important for steel wool because it seems like scott really did choose well and these people do have the community as the #1 priorty, so i trust them and im excited to see what they have in store for us come 10 days

I think maybe the ending that ruin follows through with is when we escape the night, I don't really watch lore vids so if I am wrong, it's been proven already my bad, but it said there will still be missing children and then Gregory goes out into the street to sleep Vanny shows up, I think that Vanny kills/ takes Gregory for hostage. If she killed him, she would use his voice and basically copy him and getting a new kid to go missing like it said in the ending there will still be missing children, but if she takes him hostage Vanny would take Gregory and use him to blackmail the girl and again so more children would go hostage, and Vanny will be the main villain of ruin DLC but a mean the only thing I could say about the building going into ruin would maybe be there was a natural disaster destroying the whole building making it go into ruin and over time people would vandalize it like people vandalize abandoned buildings.

I'm curious if all the level 10 doors that were just a void in the base game are gonna be important or if those are just gonna be cut off? Since the whole place is shut down I dont imagine there will be any sort of power to these security doors and we'll have reason to explore them now

oh my goodness, i had my expectations set really low, but im so glad to see that we've got sooo much more coming our way. In relation to the last bit, about going into the SL bunker, I really like RyeToast's recent theory about HW2 being Cassie's brainwashing experience (to become Glitchtrap's new minion). I still also super want your theory about the CharlieVirus being extracted from Baby, honestly mostly cuz it would, i feel, redeem Baby's character in a way that we've been missing. NotAName has a wonderful video about how Baby could've been the next Big Bad and how cool she was and how wrong she was done in the very next game. Anyways, so excited now ahhhh thanks for the hype !!!

Hey dude, fun fact for you. With the right settings, and there’s RUclips videos that shows these brightness settings, you can make the pizzaplex in base game dark and “lights out”. No mods or anything needed! Just turning down brightness, gamma, and the other visual setting slider I forgot what it was called haha. Could help you enjoy the game more on your next replay!
That makes sense that the trailer is barely anything in this final game. The trailer really only shows the Roxy Salon, Chica Bakery, Monty Golf, and The Daycare so that means they probably are keeping most of the locations a secret.
I'm with you on all those predictions. I think there may also be different levels of the pizzaplex to explore - namely a theme park style thing to link up to the books.
I’m not gonna lie, Security Breach WAS scary for me. Like I’m 21 and about to turn 22 in 2 days and the kitchen part with Chica and the endos sequence took me a long time to beat. Not to mention, Monty became sort of a phobia to me because I have a fear of alligators and crocodiles so having him chase me when I got caught by accident made my heart pound in my chest out of fear every time. So seeing Monty now in this ruined state with only one eye, is gonna really get me.

Now altho your throwing it out there- I definitely agree with that small thought becuase of 2 things:
1, as far as we know and as far as where seeing from that Help Wanted 2 trailer it looks like where going BACK to SL and not going back to the HW VR headset. NOW if there is more clues later on in the trailers showing that where back on a headset then 2 isn't really a correct theory but-
2, I think there is DEFINITELY a deeper connection between SL and SB then what we actually believe... I have sat in my Rookie corner and thought about a few things of both games and there similarities. Firstly the amount of references that have been brought to attention in SB: The room in micheals home, The Afton family in one table (where did we find out more about the Aftons? SL, before SB-), Funtime Freddy's and Baby's mask being on the blob. Secondly, the similarities between the animatronics: At the end of SB Roxy loses her sight, who can't see in SL? Ballora. At the end of SB chica cant speak because she loses her voice box, who dosent have a voice of their own in SL? Funtime Foxy. We have a green eye character who wants to help us but instead hunts us and trys to trick us- no not just Vanessa, Baby also tricks us at the end. And don't get me started on the similarities with the mechanics we get! Fixing, Flashing lights, crawling to some places, MUSIC MAN- there are so many similarities between the 2 games that kinda just sits in front of our facese... what dose it all mean?... i didnt think that far- BUT. Similarities.there. means something.
