Do you think this is a good option for someone looking to buy their first iPad? Would love to know what you think. My first ipad was the iPad 2nd generation 16 gb. I still use it until august this year. I upgraded to iPad Air 3. Worth it. If iPad 8 is your first ipad then people should take good care of it. The specs are powerful and could easily last for years.
For someone who has an iPad Air Gen 1 with 16 gigs of storage. This iPad is a fucking lifesaver. I don’t know what people are talking about how you should get the 128 gigs of storage if you want to play games, I’ve got Terraria, Stardew, Monument Valley 2, Sky: Children of Light, even Roblox on this thing. 32 gigs is more than enough for me. Thank you Tim Cook for making an affordable iPad for once.
The iPad 8 is such a powerful and useful device, on a budget! And for the price its selling for, it’s 100% worth it! I am going to order it some time this week and I can’t wait to get started with notes and art😌
This is the first time I am watching your video, and the very first thing that struck my mind is how good you are at explaining the things. You deserve every bit of appreciation.❤️
For people having low budget and want ipad for only studies..they can use android phone storage to keep big files and i think 32 gb is enough if you do only studies and keep 1 or 2 games. I think it's a good choice.
Nah. 32 GB at this price is still insulting. 64 GB would be something decent, but the configuration Apple chose for this base model feels insufficient in my opinion.
If you need more storage then the icloud storage is a good go to right? I only plan on using for note taking, learning how to draw digitally, reading manga and watching Netflix/Hulu
I love my Paddy. Not sure why they even have a 32gb version these days, that’s way too small. I strongly advise getting the larger capacity, you will not regret it.
why can't apple do 64gb and 128gb .. fuck 32gb.. its way too small.. i m using ipad air 2 64gb and i only have 2-3 games in it and i m only have 10gb free space . apple is just forcing us to buy the 128gb version
Your delivery and style was smooth, clear, to the point, informative and most importantly, objective. I very much enjoyed it and look forward to viewing your future videos. Well done. Just subbed.
Just picked this up with an Apple Pencil and 2 years of AppleCare for just over £400 to use as a design tablet for my business. It’s absolutely incredible value and I’m head over heels in love with it. It’s changed the dynamic of my workflow entirely and it’s so damn cheap. 32gb is plenty, everything is on the cloud anyway
That's definitely valid depending on the user. I'll be working off of an SSD regardless (because of my specific workflow) but it would have been awesome to be able to expand.
Your videos are among the best out there and you helped in my decision to acquire a 32gb ipad 8. Impressive price to performance ratio. Thank you for the quality content you produce
I bought this. It’s amazing for school, web browsing, netflix and games. It does it all for me. I use this more than my gaming laptop cause of the light weight and gorgeous screen. So worth it. Runs any game and anything I throw at it with no lag. I played genshin a super demanding game and it runs it so well and the lowest settings still look amazing.
It's been a few months, since I started looking into buying an iPad. Thankfully, I stumbled upon this video and helped me in my decision-making. I'm definitely getting an iPad 8th gen as my first iPad. Great video content!
Thanks for your review. My 2nd generation iPad broke so to save money I made a mistake and bought an Amazon Fire tablet. It's so proprietary I can't load any decent apps. It also has a mind of its own shutting down apps. I'm hoping the person reading this won't make the same mistake I did. Amazon is good for buying things, not tablets. It's also good for buying aftermarket accessories for your iPad. Apple is good but expensive. I checked out several iPads at different stores and for what I need this 10.2 is awesome. The screen is big and it's the fastest computer device I've ever seen. Especially connected to fiber optic Fios. I rarely read instructions and normally learn as I go. I'd estimate I know 1/4 of what this device can do. Hoping to learn more as I go along. For $299 you can't beat this iPad especially if you're a new user or just use it for everyday things as I do. RUclips is great to learn about things your interested in as well as to learn before you buy a device. Thanks again for your great review

Note take up little space. Large images, as in photos, could chew-up data space. But yes, in general taking notes uses little space, so 32GB is more than plenty for note taking.
@@purvangdesai2385 If we are talking text files, it would take an eternity to read 1 to 10GB of text, so don't be concerned. @@TechGearTalk that was super quick!!! Also, do you think that 32gb will be enough if I just want to play some games and watch movies/youtube??? (Either way, it's too late cause I already bought it but do you think it will be?)
For a first iPad, definitely get the 8th gen. The air gap is not an issue if you've never owned an ipad to begin with lol I own the 7th gen with almost identical size, screen, and metal housing of the iPad 8th gen. Though the Air gap is noticeable to me when writing with a stylus, when I'm just watching videos or scrolling Reddit I forget the air gap is there. Not too bad at all.
I'm a sucker for waiting to upgrade until the old one becomes completely dis-functional. I don't use the IPAD much now, but my daughter does for her school. A pen and keyboard accessory that work with this version is also pretty great and opens the doors I think. Great points mate, definitely some great value here.
I never used any of Apple's products, but I want to get into digital drawing and I'm thinking about getting the iPad 8. This video just made me wanna get it more :D
Great review. I opted for the 32 gig model. I plan to use it for notes on Goodnotes, streaming movies and music. I have an iPhone, MacAir, and plenty of storage in iCloud, so this is the perfect, cost- effective first iPad for me! It comes in 2 days!!!
I'm so exciting because in December I'm getting this ipad because it's my birthday and I have always wanted and iPad for 2 years and my dad said he will get it when I turn 10 and I'm really excited because December is next month!
I was very conflicted about this or Air 4 - mainly for stereo speakers in landscape, and the laminated display (+ novelty factor)... but you cleared everything else for me and realized the above do not deserve more than double the price AND I would hate to be constantly hunting for a fingerprint in God knows which corner it is as you pick the iPad up. So I literally spent only about &300 and saved 400. The Air 4 processor is not even fully optimized yet from what I’ve seen on the apps and games I use. So it should be arriving within hours now!! I had plenty money left so why not use a priority service haha 😄 Thanks a lot and keep it up!!!
Thank you so much for the informative video. I was stuck between this and iPad Air 3 but don’t really want to spend too much as I just want it for browsing and watching videos and start digital illustration I think it’s perfect for the price !!
I got a 7th gen by accident thinking it was the latest gen 🤦♀️ it’s practically new and I got a good deal on it so I decided to keep it and I’m pretty happy so far!!
this is my first ipad, it’s very helpful in studying medicine. if youre a student i recommend you to download note taking apps such as goodnotes 5 and notability.
My first iPad was the iPad Air 1st Gen 32GB which I bought at launch. It is still running smooth except some dents which are a part of me being a child when i got it :p i use it for entertainment now and it held up pretty good for it’s course
Nice review. I still use ipad 6th gen (2018) 32gb wifi model. It is still amazing. My uses : youtube, watch movie, read books, see photos, casual games (rare). For my use i dont have to upgrade. I dont have the use of pencil, keyboard or trackpad. I have tried pencil and it is fun, especially good for artists and designers (no use for me). For someone who want to try the experience of ipad, i think 8th gen is a very good entry level. Note: Aspect ratio is not ideal for movies, you will have much black area in the top and bottom of the screen while watching movies. It is better for readings books and drawing.

So I literally spent only about &300 and saved 400. The Air 4 processor is not even fully optimized yet from what I’ve seen on the apps and games I use.
So it should be arriving within hours now!! I had plenty money left so why not use a priority service haha 😄
Thanks a lot and keep it up!!!
Thank you so much for the informative video. I was stuck between this and iPad Air 3 but don’t really want to spend too much as I just want it for browsing and watching videos and start digital illustration I think it’s perfect for the price !!
Glad I could help Danielle. Thanks for being part of the channel 🙏 Good luck with the new iPad!
I feel conflicted between 8 grn and air 3
However, i think air 3 is more of a risky buy
A very good review! loved the way you presented it! simple, neat, and to the point. I look forward to watching more videos! :)))

I got a 7th gen by accident thinking it was the latest gen 🤦♀️ it’s practically new and I got a good deal on it so I decided to keep it and I’m pretty happy so far!!
Good move Melissa. Get gear that works for what you need and your budget!
this is my first ipad, it’s very helpful in studying medicine. if youre a student i recommend you to download note taking apps such as goodnotes 5 and notability.
CONGRATS! Good recommendations.
My first ipad is ipad 2 and I love it so much.. I still have it till this day and I still use it and love it from the bottom of my heart.. ♥️
👍
Can no longer upgrade ios and can't even open RUclips
@@Boyzones94 I use it as my secondary device.. and apple app store let's you install old version of the apps to use it on old hardware..
@@rafan4721 there's an older version of youtube?
Nicely explained👍. Thanks!
Going to grab it this coming week ☺
CONGRATS!!! Thanks for being part of the channel!
My first iPad was the iPad Air 1st Gen 32GB which I bought at launch. It is still running smooth except some dents which are a part of me being a child when i got it :p i use it for entertainment now and it held up pretty good for it’s course
You got a ton of value!
Tech Gear Talk :)
Appreciate all the info!
Initially subscribed for the m50 videos but really glad for this ipad one! My next on a wishlist after an m50 😊
Awesome! Thank you!

Would you mind making a video on best ipad 10.2 inch cases and covers? Already spent too much, didn't wanna go for that smart apple cover which doesn't protect the back of your iPad
