    Hey Autumn! Love this video! I struggle to get enough protein in my diet especially since I had my gastric bypass. I’ve lost 125 lbs but unfortunately have lost some muscle, as well. I wanted to share a modified Cuban recipe (Picadillo) that I make that you might try. It’s so good!
    In one pot or deep skillet, cook 1 lb ground beef, 1 can stewed tomatoes (with juice) 1/2+ cup diced green pepper, 1/2+ cup diced white onion, 1 cup green olives, 1 small jar capers, 1/2 cup raisins, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon white vinegar. Cook meat thoroughly first and then start adding/ stirring in everything else! (So easy!) Set burner to lower setting and simmer until all tomato ‘juice’ is gone. Stir frequently so raisins cook in juice to plump up. Traditionally Picadillo is served with black beans and rice but I use cooked down cauliflower rice. I hope you’ll try it! 😊

      This looks so good! And I also use the cauliflower rice, but I still incorporate the black beans because they do have protein, and iron and they are filled with nutrients that are good for you!

    It’s really hard to get enough protein in when you were doing intermittent fasting, especially if you do OMAD. I’ve been doing one 24 hour fast a week, followed by daily 16 to 20 hour daily fasts. But I feel like this has messed up my metabolism, slowing my metabolism down, and I have less strength and energy to work out the way that I used to..

      I was right there with you. I had to stop doing OMAD as a 42 year old female. Definitely had to cutdown to a 13-16 hour fast to see better results and definitely have better workouts.

    Can you do the 7 day detox for longer? Like 14 day? Just wondering what you recommend. I have about 50 lbs to lose to my goal weight.

      Legumes and nuts yes definitely!
      I'm not sure fruits have enough to count a lot but if you eat a lot of them then of course they make a difference

    Woah, the whole bone broth collagen not being a complete protein really hit me - I had been doing a cup of bone broth with 2 scoops of collagen as 30 grams of my protein but obviously it doesn't really 'count' which explains my hunger and not hitting certain goals of mine. I'll keep using for other purposes but not for protein needs.

    Are you breastfeeding and able to still stay full between meals? This is an issue I've been having breastfeeding my 8 month old staying full and keeping a good supply to be able to keep up with him. I'm struggling to lose any weight right now.

    Hi there, sorry I'm new into your program and have alot to catch up on, so I apologize if this is a repetitive question: For this shake why use coconut milk plus coconut butter, isn't that ALOT of fat content? I'm concerned about cholesterol, etc.

      Coconut milk - just like almond milk or soy milk - not the coconut milk/cream in a can for added to curry. Autumn has a video how to make coconut milk from d từ used coconut flakes. Check it out.
      The protein shake/smoothie has about 500-600 calories.

    Autumn, the collagen that you take I have taken before and it has made my stomach area bloat so I quit taking it and I went back to being normal, so could you please let me know what I could take instead of collagen in my smoothies thank you

      All of the collagen powders make me bloat as well. I take the Youtheory collagen capsules instead without issues

    Rotisserie chickens often are cooked in less desirable oils so I limit those to "desperate days".

      It’s a real shame bc the rotisserie chicken at Costco is such an amazing deal… About the only thing that hasn’t been priced gouged as the prices at grocery stores get more outrageously out of control. But I’m so hesitant to buy it because of what they cook it in. I eat mostly organic, so I can instantly feel when I put that stuff in my body, they sell an organic one at Whole Foods but it’s pretty expensive and pretty dry.

    I am incorporating yogurt, carbs etc after keto. I did keto and had no energy:( i am incorporating carbs but everyone is telling me im going to gain now:( can u please give me insight autumn bates:)

      I did keto and had no energy. Then I started doing one 24 hour fast a day followed by daily 16 to 20 hour fasts daily. my weight did not budge. And I had zero motivation or strength to get through the workouts that I used to.
      Went back to eating a few small meals, a day full of a healthy salad with a protein at dinner and my energy increased, my mood increased, and I’m lean again. Also, I eat whatever fruits and vegetables, lots of almonds, bananas, etc.

      I’ve seen several people recommend to eat your body weight in grams of protein. Example 100 pounds would equal 100 grams of protein per day. I hope this helps.

    I was a bit bummed out to see your protein serving only has 20 g of protein especially if you advocate to consume 30 g of protein per meal.. but I also think that there is more complications to manufacturer clean, high quality protein that packs 30 g’s in each serving. Anyway, I really enjoy your content and thank you for it 😊

    Hi Autumn. Just watched the replay. Thank you for the tips. I got pretty sick with a cold right before the challenge started. I was just wondering when would be a good time to start the detox week with illness recovery?

      It really depends on what type of cold you had. Was it mostly upper respiratory viral? Or was it more body flu? Covid could take up to two weeks to recover from and then slowly incorporating intermittent fasting and exercise building your strength back up.
      I was in phenomenal shape. The best shape of my life. People stop me in the grocery store and ask me what my diet is what my training regime is… But I’m not gonna lie, when I got Covid, it knocked me down for many weeks. I had zero energy to run. I lost muscle strength and it took me several weeks first I just walking 3 1/2 miles a day And doing stretching and yoga and working back up to get my strength up. But it was the first time in a decade that I totally stopped doing intermittent fasting. I just listened to my body. Hope you feel better! 🏃‍♀

      Do we need to watch the natural sugars in yogurt? Unsweetened has 6 grams per serving. I love 2 servings so thats 12 grams of natural sugar hmmmm.... is that going to cause weight gain?

      The sugar is from the milk, not added, known as “milk sugars”. If you look at a carton of milk, a container of cottage cheese or sour cream, etc… you will see they all have milk sugars.

      All I know is when I started incorporating yogurt even though it’s low-fat or sugar-free or whatever I started getting cellulite on my thighs for the first time ever. For some reason, yogurt and Keffer make my ass and my thighs thick but when I just eat veggies and lean protein and tons of almonds and tons of avocados. Even bananas, and nut butter. I’m fine. But whenever I incorporate yogurt or any milk products I get cellulite

    Does your protein powder have soap as a filler? I've never had a protien powder that foams up so much when mixed in a blender or shaker cup. Instant bloat

      I use a different one (ancient nutrition) and it foams like crazy. I add it in last and lightly blend.

      Congratulations on your three day water fast. Did you have any green tea or coffee at all? Or just water? Were you able to work out during your fast?
      I’ve been doing daily intermittent fasting for years. I just started doing one 24 hour fast once a week, sometimes pushing it to 30 hours.. followed by intermittent fasting. But instead of making me leaner, I just feel like it makes me more tired and not able to get good workouts in and then when I do eat, I’m just eating and non-exercising to regain my strength. I haven’t lost any weight at all I tend to lose more weight and lean and feel healthier Through exercise not fasting . . 😞

      I add black coffee, MCT oil and my game changer is LMNT electrolytes!! They make it work for me. I work out day 1, mildly on day 2 and depending on how I feel I may or not work out on day 3. I break it with Dr Mindy 4 step process and I feel great! I am in it for the long haul….in 9 months I am down 38 pounds, 4 inches in my hips, 4 inches in my waist and 7.5 inches in my bra band. Feeling great! I follow Autumn for the nutrition aspect. Awesome combination!!! Good luck!!

      @@lindaharbison9616 that’s awesome! Congratulations I’m definitely think I need to incorporate electrolytes during my fast. Because I’ve noticed lightheadedness and fatigue when I shouldn’t have that. But I feel like those electrolyte packets are so expensive. I wish you could just purchase a couple of the LMNT package to see if it makes a difference before you spend $50 on a whole box of them.

      @@HH-gv8mx there is an option for a sample pack for I think $20. That is what I started with to see if I liked it and if it helped. And you get a free sample pack as well. So 2 packs for $20. At least that is what I got. Good luck!!!

    I always make my own marinara sauce with a can of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce and add ehatever seasoning i want (italian, onion powder, garlic powder, etc)

      Greek yogurt and Keffer make me have a fat ass and fat thighs and I noticed cellulite right away.

    But protein=bulking for me!! As a woman I was told I can't "bulk" up with lifting heavy and eating protein. Wrong wrong wrong.

      Protein made me bulk up. I was the leanest and most most toned when I eat carbs I mean lots of healthy fruits and vegetables, lots of almonds, nut butter, salads, with just some fish or chicken and I have more energy to get through workout. Protein bulks me up and weighs me down. I instantly noticed the difference from my long, lean yoga runners body to the different body When I started adding more protein.

    I am IN! I started my No Sugar January, last week 12/26. I'm upping protein, which I needed to do, so thanks for all these ideas. Finding I need a bit more magnesium for morning regularity support of late. This side effect of the initial increase in protein, I hope will dissipate as i go along.       YOU can slow the speed. I wouldn’t want any slower than she’s doing it. It’s just a matter of opinion. That’s why they offer the option of changing the speed, slower or faster.

    How you say "break fast" is driving me nuts .
    Some of these tips are great , some ser questionable . All should be taken with a grain of salt ( lol ) as there's nothing wrong with fact checking . If you think it's overly complicated , most is it is but it's got a lot to do with the way she explains it and the restrictive way of life . Imo she doesn't look super healthy , I don't mean it in a mean way , just sunken and pale .

      She says breakfast that way because she does intermittent fasting so it's said that way because you're breaking your fast
