    Only one game, don't wanna hype him too much, but what strikes me is how natural and comfortable he looks. He's not forcing things and you can tell he has good hockey IQ. That one-timer shot will be his bread and butter.

      @Jessie I hope he has the mentality and spine to handle it well. I really hope he was properly coached in that area, cause I would hate to see him crash under the pressure.

    Unreal, he had 4 guys chasing him on the Oulette goal! Insane move and quickness. I saw him play at UBC 2 years ago in the exhibition, he wasn't like this at all. A major leap in his development took place after the WJC. He's grown an inch to 5ft8; Marty St.Louis height. A simple analogy....

      @@by2004 for whatever reason, if you Google his height, it's listed at 173cm. He's been 5ft7 since good draft, Romanov was 5ft10 in his draft year, who knows, maybe that changes next year after training camp. He could be 5ft5, but you can't hit what you can't catch

    can't believe so many teams passed on Cole. He'll be making them pay once he jumps to the NHL. I'm a Ducks fan but I'll be rooting for Cole to do well for the Habs!

      @@doaftheloaf yes we are very happy to have zegras. A lot of teams passed on him as well and I believe we were lucky he fell to us at 9. I think when we look back on that draft years later, it has potential to be a loaded first round similar to 2003. Assuming players reach their potential.

    Man i cant wait to see him with the Canadiens, it’s been so damn long since we last had a elite goal scorer playing for us!!! Stéphane Richer was the last one ffs! I hope Caufield will be the one, we really deserve a player like that in Montreal after all those years

      @@toxiczebra5920 Yeah, 4 seasons with 30+ goals kind of average. I’m sure that’s what every “average” player does. A kind of average that has value to get you Tatar, Suzuki and a 2nd rounder kind of average.

      Tatar was miserable, basically a liability when traded. Suzuki had not proven himself.
      Pacioretty is a glorified Michael Ryder at best.

      In one of my Caufield vids from say the last 3 or 4 weeks of the season at Wisconsin there's the play by play that talks about his curve, his stick, etc.., when I have time I'll try to find it

      No it looks like he was able to get the puck over first, I'd have to go back and look at it in slow mo to be 100% but the fact that the marlies didn't say anything is telling.

      If the player is in controle of the puck he can cross the line first according the rule.

    How the hell did they not call a penalty when Caufield got his face smashed into the glass? I know Poehling scored pretty much right away, but I didn't even see the refs raise their arm.
